Garrard, who was 12-of-16 for 153 yards, drove the Jags down thefield on the opening drive of the second half, completing allfive of his pass attempts for 67 yards, before Alvin Pearman ranin from one yard out to make it 17-3.

Jesse Chatman, fighting for a spot backing up Ronnie Brown inMiami's backfield, answered on the ensuing possession when heslipped one tackler at the line and broke free for a 74-yard TDrun.

Tim Couch, trying to make a comeback with Jacksonville after twoyears out of football, replaced Garrard in the third quarter. He was 2-of-4 for 11 yards.
