    EDMONTON, Alberta (Ticker) -- The Edmonton Oilers were happy tobe back home Friday night.


    Shawn Horcoff scored a goal and set up two others and DwayneRoloson made 21 saves to lead the Oilers to their third straighthome win, a 5-1 triumph over the Anaheim Ducks.


    After successfully killing four penalties in second half of themiddle session, the Oilers scored two goals in the final minuteof the period to take a 3-1 advantage and control of thecontest.


    Former Duck Dustin Penner's shot missed the net, but the puckbounced off the end boards and came to Horcoff in the leftfaceoff circle. Horcoff launched a quick slap shot pastgoaltender Jean-Sebastien Giguere to give Edmonton a 2-1 edgewith 36 seconds left in the session.


    Kyle Brodziak doubled the lead just 26 seconds later. Aftertaking a centering feed from Marty Reasoner, Brodziak stuffed inhis fifth goal of the season to create a two-goal advantagewith just 11 ticks remaining.


    Edmonton continued to pile on the offense early in the thirdperiod.


    Defenseman Tom Gilbert completed a long pass to spring AndrewCogliano on a breakaway. The rookie snapped a quick shot pastGiguere on the stick side to give the Oilers a 4-1 bulge and endthe netminder's night 93 seconds into the final session.

    It was the second time this week in which Giguere was pulled.He finished with 19 saves.


    Defenseman Steve Staios added an insurance goal at 6:49 againstJonas Hiller, who made 11 saves in less than 19 minutes ofaction. It was Staios' third tally of the season.

    Edmonton, coming off a brutal performance in Colorado onWednesday, began the game with energy and struck just 2:12 inwhile on the power play. After receiving a stretch pass fromJarret Stoll, Ales Hemsky executed a give-and-go with Horcoffand buried a shot past Giguere just before being hit.

    Hemsky and teammate Geoff Sanderson left the game in the thirdperiod with knee and back injuries, respectively.


    Ryan Getzlaf evened the contest at 7:03, when he directed thepuck toward the net in an attempt to hit a streaking GeorgeParros. But the puck deflected off Edmonton blue-liner JoniPitkanen's skate and between the pads of Roloson for Getzlaf's11th of the campaign.

    "It was huge. Special teams are the way things are going rightnow," Roloson said. "If your power play is scoring and the PKis killing off the penalties, you're going to win, and our guysdid a great job tonight."
