Ronny Turiaf, Andrew Bynum and Kwame Brown. That's gonna be a sick frontcourt right there for years to come.
i just noticed that the sonice only had 16 FT attemps and 13 made while the lakers have 37 pts from 48 attempts
Kobe Bryant: 23 pts, 8-15 FG% (Above 50!!!), 7-10 FT%, 4 Rebs, 6 assists, but with 6 TO's... overall good game for kobe considering he's a bit rusty
In the midst of Turiafs great game note that Bynum had 8 boards and 3 blocks. Bynum had a solid game. And Luke was lights out tonight. Great win. Why didnt Sasha play....was he injured?
Loved Turaifs energy at the end of the game. Wish the Lakers could have protected the lead though. It was scary at the end!
Those 2 blocks by Turiaf in the late 4th were awesome, that's what won us the game. Kudos to him and Walton.
YEEAAA!! And first time I've heard Turiaf talk. And I know Kobe isn't a 100% but damn I still never thought I would ever see him get hung up on a dunk. That was kinda shocking even with a bad knee. But yeah, not the best win blowing that 20 point first quarter lead. But a W regardless.
No word on Sasha, I'm getting the feeling that he's becoming the odd man out. I had a feeling his great pre-season was a fluke, that's why I didn't get hyped over him. Farmar is playing well, so is Evans. Smush is playing decent, therefore, someone has to be the odd man out. It's turning to be Sasha. Kobe looked really rusty out there, he lacked elevation, that should come to him. He missed about 3 inside shots that he would've normally hit if he was 100%, but no complaints, he looked good. This team is going to be better than other NBA teams expect.
yep, that one shot where Kobe didnt get any elevation on the dunk.. I was like WHOA!!! Thats not Kobe8!!!
Honestly I was kind of scared when I saw him miss that Dunk...like.... I'm really hoping he didn't rush back
<div class="quote_poster">Bahir Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">YES! We be winnin! I hope Kobe can stick to shooting around 15 shots a game, or at least under 20.</div> That sounds a bit conservative. Good win nonetheless.
Wow, a 3-0 start. We've played all three games with at least one of our starters and we've won them all. When was the last year we went 3-0 in the first three games? We're looking good so far!
I don't think Sasha will be tossed to the side. He provides pretty good defense and he CAN shoot the ball. His defense on the more annoying lane driving PGs is pretty sturdy.
Sasha had two games to audition himself with Kobe out. The Lakers even gave him the opportunity to start the opener and he stunk it up. The only way he's getting back minutes is if Farmar, Shamu, or Smush start to slack off. I imagine Sasha's going to be on the inactive list for most of the games.
