1 more Portland win or Houston loss will put us in the playoffs.

That game was so easy that I got a lot done. I made spaghetti, ate it, washed the pot, took my vitamins, and played a couple of free cell and solitaire games in another window. Too easy. I just listened while getting the day's crucial priorities done. I even won a couple of those games.

Now I'm ready to take it easy.

If the Blazers beat the Lakers they'll win 50 games

That said, I'm fine with just ending the season right now and playing the Mavs in the first round. Their roster really isn't that talented when you look at it. It's Dirk and a bunch of role players.

    BRING ON THE MAVS

But they're still deep. The problem with the Mavs is their attitude and style of play. Just not enough toughness (even with Chandler), and they're so perimeter oriented. Plus, Carlisle has bizarre rotations, which really help us matchup well with them.

Yup this is my most desired matchup for the playoffs. We need to hold off the Grizzlies though who have an easy schedule the rest of the way. The game against the Grizzlies could very well decide who plays the Mavs and who plays the Lakers/Spurs.

They can be as deep as they want for all I care because it's mainly all perimeter players. Combine their softness with the choke factor and they're a great 1st round opponent for the Blazers.

On another note, how does the NBA playoff bracket look? Would the Blazers play the Spurs or Lakers in the 2nd round if it got there?

Dallas has always been this way, though. Kidd is a complete shell of the player he once was, Terry is FUCKING overrated, and Dirk is just flat out getting old. Seriously, Dallas is ripe for a first round upset regardless of who they play. I hope it's Portland. I think after this season, lockout or no, Cuban blows up that team and starts over.

The Blazers/Grizzlies game will probably be the deciding factor, and it's in Portland. The teams only play 3 times this season and the final game will be for the regular season series win and it's in Portland.

I really feel like the Blazers get the 6th seed. If the Lakers are the only team the Blazers lose to the rest of the way then that guarantees them the 6th seed over the Grizzlies.

Just might be getting ahead of yourself a bit there. DAL was very tired tonight both mentally and physically and it showed. They're our best matchup, but getting them does not mean we're through to the second round.

Winner of 1-8 plays winner of 4-5.
Winner of 2-7 plays winner of 3-6.

I believe the winner of the 6th and 3rd seed plays the winner of the 2nd and 7th seed. So it depends who gets number 1 still, but if it stays as is, we get Lakers.

But there is always the Dirk factor. This was a road game and he still got 3-4 calls where the whistle came late after the refs saw he actually missed the shot. 3-4 time this game. A ROAD game. How many times has that happened to LMA this season. Ever? Just think what will happen in Dallas. It will be very frustrating to watch.

I would be worried if I was Dallas that OKC might catch them for the 3rd spot. That would be HUGE for the Thunder that they'd get out of the Lakers' bracket until the WCF.

Well that would be nice and I think it is very possible, but we cannot count out our two road games. We are not that great of a road team and we haven't had much success in Utah in the past (though we did beat them there this year) and of course, Golden State, a place we never seem to win at.

Well first is still up in the air in the Western conference, but if the Thunder want to avoid the Lakers till the WCF, they would want to stay in 4th currently.

Everyone on Utah is injured and their 4-12 in their last 16 games. They're done.

GS could be tough, especially on a b2b, but the Blazers are still the better team. If they need that game they'll win it imo.

Excellent win! One more win and we are in!

While I think the Mavs would be a good match up for us you know it's not going to be this easy even at home. Our bench did well, but normally our bench doesn't do as well on the road and the Mavs bench did pretty well on the road.

At any rate I don't care who we play I just happy we'll be there!!

That April 12th game vs. MEM could be the difference between possibly having a chance to get out of the first round to getting swept by LA.

And if that's the case(which I think it is) I like the Blazers' chances.

Also worthy of noting that Bynum left the game today because of a bum knee and didn't return and Gasol is schedule to have a "precautionary MRI" on his knee tomorrow because of soreness and swelling.

With the Lakers most likely locked in the 2nd seed after today they could start resting players and that's great news for Portland since they play the Lakers in 5 days.
