    INDIANAPOLIS (Ticker) -- The Indiana Pacers rode the magic ofConseco Fieldhouse yet again.


    Danny Granger scored 25 points and benefited from some clutchshooting by Kareem Rush to come back from a late deficit as thePacers downed the Miami Heat, 87-85, on Friday.


    After rookie Daequan Cook hit a long 3-pointer to put Miamiahead 82-75 with 4:05 remaining, the Pacers held the Heatscoreless until the final buzzer while Granger and Rush combinedto score 10 points during a 12-3 game-ending run - sendingMiami to its 11th consecutive loss at Conseco.


    Granger followed a layup by Jeff Foster with one of his own withjust over two minutes left to trim the Pacers' deficit to 82-79before Rush nailed 3-pointers on consecutive trips down thefloor to stake Indiana to a 85-82 lead.


    Granger added some insurance when he hit a 13-foot jumper with40 seconds remaining to put the Pacers ahead, 87-82.

    Granger's final shot was needed as Heat guard Ricky Davisgrabbed the rebound from Rush's 3-point miss with four secondsleft, dribbled up the court and made a desperation 3-pointer astime expired from just behind the half-court line.

    Ike Diogu scored 16 points and Mike Dunleavy added 15 for thePacers, who are off to a 2-0 start for the second time in threeseasons.


    Cook, who was making his Heat debut after not playing in theseason opener on Thursday against the Detroit Pistons, scored 17points to pace Miami.

    "I'm not looking to score a lot," O'Neal said. "I'm looking tosoften the defense up with the pass. I wanted to play a fewmore minutes because I wanted to get as many assists aspossible. I feel like that changes the dynamics of the game."

    "Coach (Pat Riley) has told me to be ready, my time could comeat any time," Cook said. "Tonight was that night."
