Huge game by Boki who shot about 50% and got 35, and Antoine played well and got 17 himself. Wright shot 33% shooting.

Josh Boone was the only one to get a double double, with 13-11 on 4 for 6 shooting.

PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) -- Bostjan Nachbar and Louis Williamsengaged in a personal duel down the stretch, but it was the NewJersey Nets forward that had the final say.

Nachbar scored 35 points - including the two go-ahead freethrows with eight seconds left in overtime - as the Netsdefeated the Philadelphia 76ers, 91-90, in their preseasonopener on Friday.

Vince Carter, Jason Kidd, Nenad Krstic and Richard Jefferson didnot dress for New Jersey. Philadelphia was without theservices of Samuel Dalembert due to a left foot stress fractureand Kyle Korver, who sat out with a groin strain.

Williams scored 18 of his 33 points in the fourth quarter tolead Philadelphia back from a 10-point fourth-quarter deficit, but Nachbar's driving layup with 1.2 seconds left tied the gameat 78-78.

Williams made a 3-pointer to give the Sixers a 83-81 lead with3:29 left in overtime, but Nachbar answered with a shot from thearc of his own to give the Nets a one-point advantage.

After Darrell Armstrong's jump shot, Nachbar made another3-pointer to give New Jersey a 89-83 lead with 1:46 to play.

The Sixers answered with a 7-0 run, capped by rookie JasonSmith's jumper with 13 seconds left to take a 90-89 lead.

But Smith fouled Nachbar, who sank both free throws, and RodneyCarney misfired on a 3-pointer to secure the win for New Jersey.

Josh Boone added 13 points and 11 rebounds for the Nets, who ledby as many as 20 points early in the third quarter.

Re: NBA: NEW JERSEY at PHILADELPHIA

sounds like we missed and very exciting game.

-boki continued to live up to all the high praise he is getting. hopefully it continues over and plays this way in the regular season. he is one of my favorites and i just hope he doesnt play his way out of NJ.

-i loved that boone got a double double. we saw last year when boone got legit consistant minues that would either get a double double or come close. if he is fully healthy when the year starts and we want to bring nenad off the bench i want boone to start over magloire or malik. one reason i was boone over magloire is because i think if we make magloire a starter on day one, even if its by default, once nenad comes back magloire will be moved to the bench and im not sure how he would handle that. as for malik, i like what i am hearing but i rather have a young guy like boone get some time to really continue to grow since he is apart of our future. i think frank rather have malik's experience, but if boone is healthy and plays like this for the preseason and we are going to bring nenad off the bench i want boone in the lineup with twin. nenad is going to play a low amount of minutes so u can say it doesnt matter if he starts or not but i think pshychologically it would be a big boost to boone for him to know that frank and the coaches think he is starter material. it could only help him imo.

-nice to see antoine getting to the FT line, but going 5-15 is scary. he said his jumper was better but obviously w/o watching the game i dont know how many of those were jumpers or missed layups or forced shots, but im assuming most of those misses are jumpers. hopefully he can shoot better because if he doesnt he will kill his own confidence.

-very very very upset that sean was late to shoot around ON THE DAY OF HIS FIRST NBA PRESEASON GAME!!!!! hopefully there is a legit reason for being late and not that he just woke up late. im not going to make this a big deal and some people might because of his past but it was only once. still cant understand how it can happen the day of your first nba action. anyway, hopefully when he does play against the bobcats that he will get a lot of minutes and i cannot wait until i see him live @ home vs the knicks next week.

-i would have liked to see magloires numbers better after all the positive reviews he got the other day

all in all it looks like it was a very exciting game and how could you not be in love with boki right now. it is upsetting that we gave up a 20 pt lead in the 2nd half, but this is preseason and teams are not fully healthy and have a bunch of new players. preseason games mean little, but they do provide some hope.

    * next order of business. will we be able to watch the bobcats game on monday?
