"I've definitely been able to elevate my game," Owens said. "Iattribute my success to a head coach who came in and changedsome things and an offensive coordinator who has utilized me tothe best of my ability." In last week's 28-23 victory over the Washington Redskins, Owenstied a franchise record with four touchdown receptions. Last week marked Owens' fourth consecutive 100-yard receivinggame, the second-most consecutive in team history behind MichaelIrvin's seven in 1995. In addition, Owens (126) moved past Marvin Harrison for thethird-most receiving touchdowns in NFL history, trailing onlyJerry Rice (197) and Cris Carter (130). In his first Thanksgiving start last season, Romo threw fivetouchdown passes in a 38-10 victory over the Tampa BayBuccaneers. A year later, the Cowboys appear to be cruising toward theirfirst NFC East Division title since 1998. They own a two-gamelead over the New York Giants (7-3) with a tiebreaker edge. A win on Thursday will give the Cowboys their first 10-1 startin franchise history. It would be a significant achievementsince the team has won five Super Bowls. Dallas will be facing a Jets team that surprised the PittsburghSteelers, 19-16, in overtime last week to snap a six-game losingstreak. Kellen Clemens earned his first win since replacing ChadPennington as the New York's starting quarterback. The best hope for the Jets (2-8) this week might be catching theCowboys looking ahead to next week's showdown against the GreenBay Packers (9-1) that could decide home-field advantage in theNFC.
