They doubled from the baseline like 3-4 times and LA would do a turnaround jumper and brick lol

When he got the ball to CJ for a three in the second half, the doubles stopped.

Every time he got deep post position they sent a man down baseline while AD played high on Aldridge's left shoulder to prevent his running jump hook over the middle.

And we went on a tear... Who would've thought that ball movement kills doubles? It took like 3 1/2 quarters...

Incredible Win! N'Orleans is legit, outplayed us most of the game.

    Don't overlook this stat:

    [IMG] = 4-0!

Davis' PER is now an absurd 37!

    Jordan's career high was 31/32.

Who knows how long he can keep his numbers this high but I'd say he's the best player in the NBA right now. He's averaging 20+ on very efficient numbers and he's not even close to having a refined offensive repertoire. Combine that with his already dominant defense. He's a game changer.

I'm sure the above players had a PER of 37 over a 3 week period of their career as well.

Exactly! Davis is a stud, but let's wait until season's end to evaluate the PER.

    Are these people Kingspeed clones?

I hope the people who doubted Davis before the season learned their lesson last night

He's the best PF in the game and a top 5 player. He was dominant on the offensive side and played some of the best defense I've ever seen played on Aldridge.

    3rd in scoring
    3rd in rebounds
    1st in blocks
    1st in steals

    Wow.

I was at the game last night and just by the eye test Davis is probably the most talented two way player i have seen maybe ever. guy effects the game in so many ways. he handles the ball and shoots like a gaurd and plays defense at a level i cant remember seeing from any of other big man in terms activity level plus athleticism. i think noah is probably the up there in activity level but daivs is much more gifted physically

I like Davis, A LOT... but let's not go overboard. His team is still 1-3 on the road. He's not an MVP candidate if he can't get his team into the playoffs.

Or how about we ignore it completely as the useless Hollinger-ism that it is?

I think we can only judge his PER on what he has done so far obviously and that has been great. For some the thought is that its only ten games in.

But after having watched him last night I personally feel like outside of injury I see no reason why he cant at least stay close to what he is now. He literally seems to be all over the court.

The guy can block 2 straight shots and then still sprint down the court for the alley oop. The thing about AD is that he isnt just super freaky athletic. He has BBIQ and heart and hustle to go with it.

I cant think of a whole lot of players present or past that have that combo. The scary part is that he isnt anywhere near his ceiling. The guy is going to get a better post game and I guarantee he will add a 3 point game at some point. Its nuts when you think about.

    Who doubted him?

The knock on Davis is his health. Not his talent.
