We're gonna lose but I'm proud of our guys - they just got fucked by the zebras and Stern.

Roy gets to play due to his past services. This will go on for another season or two before it ends.

See I thought a majority of the fouls were legit. Roy is such a liability on defense that it causes us to "reach in" with him on the court. Wesley would have solved that easily.

Good effort by our guys. I don't want to take that away from them. I think if we keep this level up we have a great shot at game two.

Refs spotted Dirk 12 pts in the 4th.

    Hard to beat that action.

I know you're on my side, but Roy would be happy to play bench minutes. It's Nate who feels like he should use Roy as a crutch for his offense. Sorry, Nate, but Roy isn't the same player.

God people, get a grip. The refs let Dallas win this game. Dallas has what, 6 points in the paint for the game, while Portland had 30? Yet Dallas shoots 3x as many FTs?

Is that right? 18-1 FT disparity in the fourth.

There were definitely some questionable calls, but I think there were even more questionable decisions by Nate...

Camby had his best game in a long time and they end up going small for the entire 4th? What? Rudy did a lot more in his limited minutes than Roy but it's Roy playing down the stretch? Why? I'm not opposed to leaving Roy in when he's doing well, but when it's obvious he's struggling, take him out...sheesh...

That one hurt. The first road game is usually the best one to steal. Not to play sour grapes, but I felt it was a very poorly ref'd game.

    mmmmkay.

Keep on scapegoating. Nowitzki shooting 10 FTs in the 4th quarter is Roy's fault. LMAO at you.

Someone needs to send Nate McMoron a memo that Wesley Matthews is the starter and Brandon Roy is now a fucking scrub.

Also, the Blazers need to bitch like mad about this fucked up reffing (not like it will do any good), but still, for the principle of it.

This is one thing that really sucks about the NBA. It's now how good you are, it's how the refs treat you in the 4th quarter.

Well, before this devolves into a Nate hate thread (it's already starting), I'm out.

Take it easy guys. Let's come back and take game two!

I think Nate thought there was another quarter or something...He did not have his best coaching game that is for sure.

Correction: Dirk shot 13 FTs in the 4th quarter, not 10.

    Definitely Roy's fault.

Roy was stating before the game that he was certain he could deliver the game late (or words to that effect). He has Nate's ear and I'm thinking he had asked to be left in if the game was close.
