Nope Adelaide. Schenscher is playing for Perth this season, but was born and raised in Adelaide. Yep summer is getting closer, it's supposed to get up to 28C (82.4F) here today, to keep getting warmer the rest of the week, and to push 100F on Sunday. I wish I was at the beach, instead of stuck in an office.
If I was at home, yep. Unfortunately the Internet connection at work is craptacular (I struggle to even get the audio stream to work). So I'm relying on you guys to keep me posted.
I think I just came a little. Gross. That place used to be ballah now it's crusty. I call it sushibucket. I approve, good sir.
oh, and me? I am living it up with my water and pretzels, sitting at work. Thankfully I'll be off at 8, at which point I will find the nearest bar and buy a single microbrew (I'm thinking something dark) and nurse it throughout the rest of the game. I will do this because I have neither beer nor a television
Just had a green salad and some fish. The breaded halibut from Trader Joes is easy to make and actually pretty good. I'll probably have a few Lagunitas IPA's during the game.
Just finished off my Thai food. Mussemen (sp?) curry, crispy basil chicken, and my wife's fave, pad thai. On the way home I stopped by the liquor store to get a pint of Patron for around $50, but I ended up getting a half-gallon because it was on sale. My wife almost wanted to slap me. LOL
Not everyone's cup of tea, but I like it. Pretty relaxed, laid back kind of place. You've visited before? Just from my inability to see the opening game. Luckily the Denver game is being televised here, so I can record that, and watch it when I knock off.
Yeah, I participated in a competition at the University of Sydney, then spent the next few weeks hitching rides around the country. I love Australia.
Just for the record... FUCK HABANERO POPPERS! I bit off about a quarter of the tip and shit my pants. Sweat, snot, tears, hiccups and I think I might have suffered brain damage. I spit it out for fear of foot-long flames shooting out my ass in the morning. And I thought I could eat hot stuff.
Thanks for the tip, I'll give it try next time I'm being stupid. I won't need the tip tomorrow, since I choked it out into the trash can. All the tips I've heard before didn't do jack shit when I was on fire. You hear salt takes away the heat? BULLLLLSHIT! Milk helps slightly, as long as it's cold and it's in your mouth. The only thing that kept me from walking into the bright light was keeping a half a pat of butter and ice in my mouth. After doing that for about 15 freak'n minutes, I finally started to breathe normally. Don't know when I might be able to taste anything again.
There is definitely truth in the tip about milk/butter/yogurt. It has to do with the fat in it...try whole milk. And for the record Habaneros wreck pretty much everything. I put a little sliver of habanero in chili once and wrecked the whole batch...it burned so much you couldn't taste the chili...
Strangely enough, so do I. Everyone who comes here always says that , but I never know if they're just pissing in my pocket. Yep yoghurt works a treat. I find the best thing to cool me down when I'm eating a hot Vindaloo is Greek or natural yoghurt (eg not sweet) mixed with grated cucumber (best to deseed the cucumber).
