At least we don't have to worry about 3 OT's tonight. Honestly, Rangers not showing a lot of intestinal fortitude if you ask me. Kind of weak. Pens came out flying as you'd expect first game at home, sure they got a couple of calls, but that was weak by the Rangers to be run out in the 1st period when it played out as we all could have scripted. Very disappointed to be honest with you.
I think it was a weak effort. Didn't play with enough intensity or purpose. Nothing that happened in that 1st period was a surprise, yet we seemed unprepared and not ready with the effort and intensity needed in a playoff game, especially first game on the road in a series.
They are getting chances but alot of missed nets. Maybe this will settle them down and they can chip away.
Agreed - it is like I wrote yesterday, if we play in our own zone like we did in games 1 and 2 we will get run out in their building. Playing out exactly that way. What really angers me is again nothing in that 1st period was a surprise at all. We should have been ready for all of it, yet we were overwhelmed IMO. Maybe you chalk it up to the goalie not making the big save, and a young team still learning.
Lot of game left, I just want them to play with some intensity the remainder of the game, knowing very unlikely they get back into it. And big picture, win game 4 and all is good. Just need to come home 2-2 to be in a good spot.
It's looking like 7 games or they lose in 6. Not having Goodrow, Mott, Blais is hurting them, and Lingren on d.
I don't like the goalie change either, like waiving the flag IMO. And both teams have injuries, so no excuses there. They have their 3rd string goalie in, missing their trade DL scoring acquisition, and their best defensive dman. We played a weak 1st period. That's it.
