Nemeth with -3. Schneider is showing he is a rookie. It sucks he has to play with that pile of crap. Drury did not do his homework on that signing.

Kreider needs to get involved around the net more, they've bottled him up so far.

Like I said earlier Zibanajad owes them a big game. It's getting old watching his odd angle shots missing the net.

Definitely an older and experienced team who can still play good hockey. So far can't say they don't deserve to be up 2-1 in the series.

I think we are due to get some bounces also. The Pens got a bunch tonight - 2 or 3 of their goals due to good bounces. Go forward and shoot the puck and good things happen. We should take note of that.

Get the puck on the net and good things can happen.

The Rangers have relied on Shesterkin a ton to bail them out this season in order to get wins. That tells you that the team is not where it needs to be defensively to start winning playoff series. Last night the puck was bouncing Pitt's way in the first. Shesterkin was definitely on the end of some bad luck. However, too many times in this series already he's had to make crazy saves because the Rangers defensive coverage has sucked. Some due to inexperience. Some do to injuries. Some do to stupidity. Especially with some vets.

As frustrating as it was to lose that game yesterday seeing this made it not so painful...

I'm praying Kakko doesn't sign an offer sheet after the season but he and his agent probably aren't stupid. They probably see he won't get first PP time here for years thus won't get a big contract from the Rangers.

Funny how this topic keeps being brought up but no one else continues the discussion.

If it happens the fan base will look like they just got fucked by an elephant. The Ranger fan base is arrogant they think all players wanna stay here forever which is not the case

I don't think a team is prepared right now to give up that much for him with his point production and injury history. If they did i would probably accept it and let him go. He will probably get no more than 3.5m on his next contract, which is a bargain for us.

The compensation for that would be a 2nd rounder, which would suck...however..sometimes these things happen...we got fox for a second rounder..so it happens...we won't lose him for 3.5m

Right, if they offered 6m or something like that for him i might think about letting it go through. I have doubts about whether he ever becomes an all-star level player. Fox also wanted to come to NY so Carolina was kind of over a barrel there.

Tough to tell if Kakko and Lafreniere can become stars because they don’t get 18 minutes plus of ice time and play on the first power unit. We talked earlier about the incompetence of the organization developing these two players.

We've had this first power play unit discussion how many times already? It was one of the top units in the league. Just stop already.

I guess it's possible a team like Arizona with a million picks could try something like that this summer but I'd still be a little surprised. It would depend on how they fared in the lottery too.

That’s what happens when you don’t put a superior offensive talent in Lafreniere or Kakko on the power-play and leave Strome there eventually it doesn’t work. Power-play started to become average at the end of the season
