Re: GaMeTiMe's NEW Mock Draft Thread Some good picks, some crazy picks.- I agree Blalocks stock is rising, but not to Top 15. Guard is a very under-valued position in the NFL Draft, Blalock isn't close to the prospect Steve Hutchinson was and he went 17th overall. He will go sometime in the 20's, as opposed to being talked about as a potential 2nd Rounder.- I know 75% of mocks have it, but I have yet to see a sufficient reason as to why Charles Johnson is worth a First Round Pick. The combine was even more proof that he is not a First Rounder with average height and running his 40 in 4.84 seconds, decent production but nothing eye-popping like Spencer or Woodley. Classic case of a guy who looked good because of a Defensive End on the other side drawing all the attention away from him. - I'm not sold on Beason or Gonzalez as first rounders either. - Chris Houston is too low. Cornerbacks with that size and strength that he had go in the First Round. I would be happy if he fell to #25, Nevermind #37.- I know you want Brian Leonard to fall that far, but after he run his 40 time in 4.48, and had an Offensive Lineman type bench press, it's not happening. - Antonio Pittman > Tony Hunt. The Main Issue with Pittman was his speed and a good showing in the 40 definately pushes him ahead of Hunt IMO, especially considering Hunt didn't even work out. - I think you're the First Mock I've seen Zach DeOssie go in the First Day. Great pick, although I expect him to end up going to someone in the Belicheck tree. - Personally, I don't care for Dwyane Wright at all. He's going to be a 24 year old Rookie and Runningbacks have a short enough shelf life to begin with.
Re: GaMeTiMe's NEW Mock Draft Thread Updated. COMMENT PLEASE!!I'll probably make a new thread with the next update.
Re: GaMeTiMe's NEW Mock Draft Thread Why do you have the Steelers taking DEs with thier first two picks?
Re: GaMeTiMe's NEW Mock Draft Thread Because they'd both play different roles in the 3-4 and Cover 2.In the 3-4, Spencer would play OLB and Carriker would play DE. In the Cover-2, Spencer would play DE and Carriker can either play at DE aswell (With Smith and Hampton inside) or inside at DT (with Hampton, and Smith outside)They need players who can play both systems, because they aren't set on either one just yet.
Re: GaMeTiMe's NEW Mock Draft Thread Round 1 - The Blalock pick is pretty good. No complaints, I'd be happy with that.Round 2a - I don't think Jackson really fits the Jets, he's another guy that either fits in as either a Saftey or a Cover 2 Corner at the next level, and the Jets need someone who can play some man coverage. I'd rather draft another Guard in Beekman (As Kendall is old and Moore is JAG, or you could play Blalock at Right Tackle in Year 1), or a DE like McDonald, Mebane, or Francis, or hell, or even Josh Wilson as he could at least play Corner.Round 2b - Pure Combine Workout Warrior, probably about the right draft slot, but I can't say I'd care for the pick much. See my short list above for what I'd probably do there. Round 3 - Love the DeOssie pick. You must have been reading the other thread. One thing though, Michael Bush and Kenny Irons available in the Third Round? That's a little too far of a drop. There is always too many teams who will take BPA to prevent that.

Re: GaMeTiMe's NEW Mock Draft Thread the 49ers still have 2 3rd round picks, and you have never done that, so, i donno what you are doing, but the 49ers have 2 3rd round picks

I wouldn't be opposed to him, but I don't think you could say the Jets would definately take him if hes available like you just did.

It's a very complicated formula that takes into account things like if you sign more Free Agents then you lost, you aren't eligible for compensation picks which very well might take the 49ers out.
Re: GaMeTiMe's NEW Mock Draft Thread 49ers will get two compensation picks, surely the lone 3rd rounder for Julian Peterson. Stop hatin fellas.

Stop hatin fellas.</div>You can't assume these things with Compensation Picks, like I said, it's a very screwed up formula.Jets were supposed to get multiple compensation picks last year for losing Lamont Jordan, Kareem McKenzie and the only got one compensation pick because of some BS Reason like they lost 3 free agents and signed 2, only making them eligible for one compensation pick, despite the obvious difference in Quality of Free Agents signed vs Free Agents lost. Now it seems to me the 49ers signed alot of players last offseason like Larry Allen, Antonio Bryant, Walt Harris which very well might have taken them out of eligibility of Compensation Picks. I don't know. Like I said, it's a very screwed up formula.
Re: GaMeTiMe's NEW Mock Draft Thread Larry Allen and Walt Harris were also Pro Bowlers so that should fuck us, but wait nvm they were released so they dont count And Antonio Bryant was supposed to be cancelled out by Anthony Clements.
