Arizona rookie Conor Garland was challenging for a roster spot before he broke a hand in training camp. Healthy again, he is making his mark.

Garland was credited with two goals -- the first appearing to just graze his uniform -- and Darcy Kuemper made 23 saves for his first shutout of the season and 12th overall to help the Coyotes beat the New York Rangers 5-0 on Sunday to end a three-game losing streak.
