warts and all he's an all time great, no doubt about it. If some posters only want to talk about his warts, that doesn't change the bottom line.

His warts being trash talking and some high elbows don't hold a candle to Karl Malone's in my book. The Mailman's dirty play regularly sent guys to the hospital... dude was a walking cheap shot with the sort of bad intent KG hasn't come anywhere close to matching. Off the court he was a Deadbeat Dad to many including twins by his HS girlfriend... hell, while in college he impregnated a 13 year old and then avoided any and all contact with her and the boy after. Dude was also an all time flopper... everyone loves floppers.

Greatness in basketball and being an admirable player aren't necessarily the same thing, but personally I'm a big fan of Tim Duncan :)

    but nobody flops like Vlade....lol

Yeah, I was thinking about Malone and Lambier as well.

I was just kinda tired of previous posters feeding into the comments of KG being rather "punkish"...lol. It' like since he talks trash and throws high elbows...he had to be a garbage player and overrated...I just had to step in an express my thoughts on how great a player he is and how he has strung together a Hall of Fame worthy career without a doubt.

While I'm not a hug fan of his histrionics on the court, he has done a lot to reinvent the PF spot in the last decade or so.

Does anyone remember him talking this much trash back in the days when the Wolves were terrible? I went to a lot of those games in the RG, and while he played great, he didn't seem to talk a ton of trash or throw the bows like he's done since being traded to the C's.

I know you hate Aldridge, but watch this video. He should be your favorite player now. :devilwink:

Lamarcus is no bitch. If somebody brings it to him, he doesn't back down. Sometimes I wish he'd take it to them first though. That will come as he gets older.

I love Garnett as a villain... a character I love to hate. If it were not for the likes of the Garnett, last nights win wouldn't have been as special.

Give Oden a few more months and KG will be a different player against the Blazers. Last night against the champs gave Greg all the confidence he'll need for the rest of the season!

your right, M'man...I was saying that to. He was labeled as emotional and competitive until he won a championship....now it's a big issue and he's a menace and disgrace to the sport? Seriously...so it's only an issue if his team is winning then...alright....now I get it....lol:ghoti:

All the players I have hated the most I am sure I would *love* if they were Blazers. I like to believe Kobe is the exception... it helps me maintain my sanity... but I pray I never have to find out.

Oh yeah, wasn't this kid just drafted in the late rounds of the NFL draft or maybe second round NBA or something like that. I just remember commentators making a big deal about it being Malone's kid and the kid basically disowned his dad.

I do believe that the team is no longer intimidated by Boston.

I would like to know from fans who were at the game, how did the crowd respond to that exchange?
