Says the same people who whined for the last 7 years about the heights of the players. Pretty ironic.

Wow I know I alreadty commented about this once but I can't believe that we paid GP2 twice as much as the Pacers paid Jalen Smith. I think Jalen Smith fills a lot more needs on this team and it wouldn't have hard capped us.

    When did Gundersen do that?

I think Portland is overpaying, and shouldn't have signed him for more than the tax-MLE, but he did average 18 minutes, not 10

It is strange that Golden State could have had GP2 back, but let him go and replaced him with DiVincenzo.

We signed gpII to a fully guaranteed three year. DiVincenzo is most likely a one year deal.

Payton is getting paid way more than what DiVincenzo is getting. They couldn’t keep Payton. Golden State is already paying $170M in luxury tax. They need to focus on next season when Wiggins and Poole are up for new contracts.

not really. It would’ve cost golden state nearly 70M to keep GP and made their upcoming extensions with Poole, etc even more expensive.

Golden State never cared about the Lux Tax.....until GP2 and OPJ? Guess the owner has his limits.

No, it’s not about GP2 and OPJ. It’s looking ahead to Wiggins and Poole next season.

GSW only had early-bird rights to GPII. I think they were maxed out at offering the Tax-MLE

He had to share minutes with Curry, Poole, and Klay last season and still made a major impact. Look- the best players will play. If GP2 is better than Hart, great, he'll play. If Hart is better, great he'll play. And then you have to remember- injuries happen. I remember when we signed Juwan Howard and everyone was like "he'll never actually play." And then he ended up STARTING for a good portion of the season. Depth is a good thing.

Dame, Ant, Hart, and Payton II. I look at Sharpe as being a potential 3 with Nas. Man! I like this group and the potential. Johnson and Bledsoe probably on way out. William has time to develop.

It is sad that we have become so jaded as fans of our team.

Just my 2 cents, I love their show and how they choose to carry themselves and I hope to God they ignore people like you. Eric and Torey are smart. It's never a bad time to talk down to idiots. Idiots deserve far worse for what they've given back to the world.

They might have plenty of "guard depth", but some of that depth (Didi, Johnson, Williams) will probably never see much more than 500 minutes this year, combined.

Good luck to Billups. He not only has to teach (and persuade) Lillard and Simons to play defense but he has to continue re-vamping our offensive style and figure out how to integrate Payton and Grant into it.
