well i personally dont think he will because its just the way gp is but he should because he has already won his ring and if he stays in the league for another lets say 2 years he will only embarass himself like so many other old veterans have..hakeem olajowan comes to mind when he played in toronto,um penny hardaway playing in new york, the only exceptional was michael jordan when he played in washington because he is the GOAT and can do whatever he wants lol not to mention he played pretty well for a 40 year old

If I were him i might want to retire just to end my career n a great note. Who knows though I think he'll still be playing next season. Same w/ Zo.

I think he is gone after this year. Maybe one more year if he thinks Miami can repeat. But, I don't see why retire after you win a ring. So I think he may stay another year. Hoping for a secound ring with Miami

I love Gary and I'm so happy he got a ring. But yes, I think it's best to go now. What is he 37? He clearly isn't half the player he used to be, he finally got his ring, plus he wants to see his kids grow up. I think he will retire, and I think he should to both be with his family and also go out as a winner.

He will retire, he's 38, soon to be 39. and he's accomplished his career goal. It's not even a question. The most versatile PG ever is now gone.....

like you guys said. he'll retire because that's all he has left to do. he lead his team (the sonics) year after year after year. and left (the sonics) to get a ring. took a few years, but he got it. and now all he needs to do is retire. taht's all that's left. he'll have one of the best careers you could ask for.
