Do you think that can happen? I really like Mo and want that, but the aggression just doesn't seem consistent--ever.
I remember after the all star break he talked about taking pressure off himself and such, and was going to go out and be more aggressive. He was.
Actually pre allstar break a lot of teams including the blazers have 10 man rotations or sometimes more looking for that chemistry off the bench...after the allstar break I'd agree with you
I wouldn't be surprised to see a larger than average rotation for the Blazers in the first half of the season, just because Stotts wants to see more out of the new shooters before he settles in on a playoff rotation.
No team in the playoffs but during the season a lot of teams like the Spurs would--not every night though.
What are your standards for a "rotation player"? Give me a baseline for average mpg. Because the Raptor with the 10th highest mpg was Poetl with 18.5. In comparison, Ed Davis averaged 18.8mpg for us last year, and judging by our howls of rage when he left this Summer, he was a rotation player for us.
Most teams try to get 10-12 guys minutes in the regular season and then cut it down to 8ish in the playoffs.
This is an out of line comment. I won't engage with you anymore on this subject. You can have a discussion without this. The rest of this comment was fine. And a good point. But this totally tunes me out
Your right wb4 would struggle contesting the best in the game at the 3 spot. But so do players like Harkless, Aminu. And really if you want to bring up wb4 struggling to stop KD. LBJ has that same issue so... Not very many players can slow down the best threes in the game. Let alone top 5 players in the NBA. Therefore using that as a reason to not play wb4 at the three is pretty illogical. This is completely different from your other comment. Which is why I'm replying. Which is why I'm not going to put a specific number on minutes played at X spot. It will be a 3 guard rotation. Wb4 will steal minutes. And he'll get minutes at the backup three. defending other back up threes Frankly cause at some point Turner will lose minutes due to shit play. You don't have to agree. But I answered a question.
Out of line? HAHAHA. Are you okay? It's a huge difference in terms of on-court production. That's what I'm saying. What I've been saying. You didn't even deny that. So I don't know what you're worked up over.
Everybody struggles, but guys like Aminu and Harkless are at least competitive... If youre comparing the 6'4 Baldwin to the 6'9 Aminu and Harkless, thats ridiculous. And before yu say wingspan, WB only has a couple inches on Harkless, and has a smaller one than Aminu. Any decent sized SF is going to work WB in the post and shoot over him. Yes, he could steal minutes in specific situations where 3-guard lineups make sense, but thats not going to be a regular occurance. Thats why I asked for your lineup, because people always have these ideas of what the lineup should be without realizing the lack of minutes or the lack of practability behind them.
I didn't know Trent has a space shuttle blasting off tattoo on his right knee. I wonder if Paul and Gary talk about space ships together?
Yeah, not sure what's up with some of the background color selections they had. Yellow & Black? Blue? At least this one has some Blazer gear in the background -
