Well, Green is 6'8" and super athletic. He's listed as a SF/SG. So, maybe the plan is to bring him in as our back up SF. It would give us another scorer off the bench. Green shot .400 3FG% last year, which was better than Damian (.394), Wes (.394) and Nic (.361). Seems like a Stotts kind of player. Do we really need more of those? I'd kind of like to see a Thibodeau kind of player coming off our bench. Ironically, the Bulls need more scoring from their wings, so Green, a very un-Thibodeau player may end up going to Chicago. BNM
His contract makes more sense than that of Budingers who has 5.5 left for the next two years. At a 15.5 pt average, he would only help the bench. But I can't believe Phoenix would want to trade with someone they are competing against for playoff positioning (Chicago more likely). Also, if they are open to this I have to believe they will be selling high just due to the year he had. Not sure I would give up a McCollum for him. Actually, I know I wouldn't.
He's a slasher more than a shooter (although last year it was 50/50 nearly). Kinda has the LeBron/Batum chase down block in his arsenal too.
It would be fun to have him on our team. He is a high flyer, probably the quickest jump from 2 feet I've seen in person. I was unaware of how deadly he was from range. That's even more impressive! So if a deal is made, it's gotta be for something more than just wright. What do you think?
Perhaps you should learn the difference between a statement of fact and a rhetorical question, then post.
Probably not a thing, I wonder if the author just got it from: http://www.blazersedge.com/2014/10/...blazers-trade-broadcast-rights-bench-rotation which is just from a reader's axx, not a real rumor. If it was a real rumor, Woj would be on it, he's not.
Why limit it to those two teams? The question gave it a sense that something is going on between those two teams. Can't fault him for that.
Green is a much better player than I ever thought he could be. He's still about as sharp as a bowling ball. I'm still not interested in him here in Portland unless we can get him by cutting or trading Dorrell Wright. Any higher cost than that? No, thanks.
No, he was right. The second post says "When, not if... will it be Chicago or Portland." That's the same as saying "They are going to be traded".
Seems to me Phoenix has a ton of guards, what they'd want would be bigs. Joel Freeland and Victor Claver? I like DWright this season mostly for his defense and leadership off the bench. He's the key so far in creating turnovers and leading fast breaks for the 2nd unit. We'd miss Joel and Vic less than we'd miss our guards and small forwards.
I think it's a good idea. I think Green is more likely to help us this season than Trob is. I don't think Trob has much of a future with us past this season.
