Same stuff every year. I will have to remind myself to not care come the trade deadline since nothing seems to happen unless it is some minor deal. That is, assuming there is even basketball next year.
Allisa told me! I think there would be more legit sources saying the deal was dead if it was. ESPN is still rolling with it as "serious".
i really hope the blazers get this worked out by deadline. at least wallace and hopefully augustin. char would love picks and paul allen's money. i say give them lots of both.
The past and present Hornets have now screwed us in the last year by getting cold feet. First on Chris Paul (under kpee) and now on Gerald Wallace (under Cho). Maybe we (as a franchise) are just being bullied? Teams saying "Hey, you want these guys? We'll give them to you for nothing. Seriously, just come over here. Sike. *knocks Portland down, chuckles darkly*"
I'm glad we're playing our guys. MJ wants to pull back; let him sweat. He can have a conversation with his accountants tonight on how much he's going to lose on a team that at best will have the opportunity to get swept in the first round and most likely will be in the lottery.
@BaselineDrE: Per Bonnell, Blazers/Bobcats talks for Wallace are dead http://t.co/tDRDN01. Jason Quick just indicated same on NBATV.
This is fuckin shit..... i hate fucking trade deadline with this team (not saying it was cho's fault)
I will grant you that. That was a nice deal for us, but at the same time, we always seem to be linked to all-stars/former all-star players only to flop. Now, it is obvious we were never going to beat Utah giving up Williams for Harris, but this whole Wallace deal, well I would like to see what the reason the holdup/cold feet is. Perhaps MJ just wants to keep Wallace, or maybe he wants Batum and once again we are acting like he is a God and untouchable. I don't really know, but whatever.
Technically, a trade could happen as soon as both games are concluded yeah? Or is there a mandatory cooling off period?
A trade could be completed (as in, officially agreed upon) the moment both sides agree, even during a game.
