Getting a pick in the draft

You won't get an obvious superstar by trading for the pick. (Unless you trade a superstar for it) Because bad teams would prefer to keep them for themselves. So that means you have to get lucky and get a player most other teams missed on. Europe is a good source for this IMO
Yeah, that's why I don't buy the idea that the Cavs were willing to do the third pick and Love for CJ. If they are though Mobley is going to be an all star at least if not an all nba player and will contribute right away. At the same time if that offer was on the table I still might consider shopping it to Detroit for Grant and Plumlee or to Toronto for Siakam because those players will contribute more next season than Mobley and we're still all about Dame's window as far as I know. Even though Mobley will be better in the long term barring injury.

Based on the history for most teams in the last few decades of the draft, I do not doubt what you are saying. So who is this year's best surprise option?

Cunningham is the obvious one. Barnes will be the surprise IMO but take a little longer till his shot comes around....but he can do a LOT of other things very well.. I think there will be at least one other real star out of the top 5.

Suggs.

So... Eric Bledsoe has a negative-seven-places-in-the-draft value

I don't know if this makes any sense but I guess they're willing to move back seven spots to dump Bledsoes ~37M in owed salary over the next two seasons.

Very well could be. Reminds me a bit of a cross between Roy/Lillard.

One of the main things I look for in lottery picks is how effortlessly a player looks in college. If they have to work hard for buckets in college it ain’t gonna get any easier in the league.

I’m a Gonzaga homer but at the same time Suggs is effortless. Game comes easy to him and with seasoning he’ll just get better. He’s a slam dunk star.

Ayayi is another guy I’m really high on. I think he can be a Dennis Schroeder type.

Joe Inglis is apparently available for a first round pick..damn that would be a great deal to make

Suggs is the most sure thing in the draft. If I had to compare to anyone it’s literally Lillard.

I am unsure what he can be and especially what he will be (to be honest just read a bit about him) - but comparing the opinions about him here in the forum and of the experts he can be near anything and anyone. Really looking forward to see him play and what he will "become".
