Stromile Swift is a two-trick, pony, guys. He blocks shots, and dunks. He's an NBA Street player.

Get excited all you want, but I really doubt this'll lead to many more wins.

(BTW, that dunk on Yao is one of the sickest dunks ever)

I remember similar threads created by Rockets fans a couple seasons ago. I kind of hope I'm wrong this time, because I'm tired of watching this dude waste his talent. But I really doubt it'll work out that well.

Swift reminds me more of Kenyon than Sean does for some reason. Hopefully he can play half of what Kenyon did.

Except Kenyon has some understanding of how to play basketball. Stro has the understanding of how to dunk a basketball and that's about it.

Swift isn't really a Frank kind of player. I think there's a better chance of seeing more Magloire now than seeing a lot of The Stro Show.

Energy. When Swift and Kenyon dunk, they go crazy after the dunk. When Sean dunks, he runs back down the floor. Which is a good thing, most of the time. But when the team is down, especially at home, and someone makes a dunk, it's nice to see energy to get the fans back into the game like Kenyon did and Swift hopefully will.

Your both right...Stro still might be a building block to appease Kidd. I think he will like all the positives that Stro brings...the blocks always energize this team and honestly as good a Boone and Sean look dunking Stro is better at it and will get the fans involved with his enthusiasm. He definately will help energy-wise. Realistically he won't solve any problems...but he could help the team.

I hope I'm wrong, but I have a really bad feeling about this. In my mind, Swift has essentially NO chance to play under Coach Frank, at least until next season. He doesn't know the plays, he doesn't really play defense, and by all accounts he's an idiot and has little chance of understanding Frank's unnecessarily complex "plays" and "defensive schemes." The most exercise he'll get is racing Magloire to the bench to be be the one to avoid the seat on the end.

Will he be a malcontent? I think there is a pretty good chance of this.

Again, I hope I'm wrong. regqardless, the last thing the nets need right now is another guy who can't shoot the ball outside of eight feet.

I'm with you 100% on all of that. Except that in my mind, Swift has no chance to play under Frank at all.

Remember Bernard Robinson? Wasn't he dumb as a rock..? Well, he was probably smarter than Swift. [IMG]

well stro is gonna bring that energy we really need after a dunk, so thats really good. Also I think the nets may give some of the minutes from collins of course to Swift but I think Jamal may see a little more time now, maybe against guys like Dwight, Shaq....

Oh-that's right. The point-after-dunk that's earned for really manly displays of manly manliness. That should be good for a few points per game.

the more I think about it...the more I think this may not have been a good trade.
you don't know how good something is until it's gone.

I was one who's always respected Collins. a few things I didn't like this season, but then again, that's the story of this team.

Wtf? If that point is non-existent, then not even Kobe could score it.

    That made absolutely no sense.
