<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>WASHINGTON, April 4 (AP) -- Gilbert Arenas injured his left knee in a collision with Gerald Wallace in the first quarter of Wednesday night's game against the Charlotte Bobcats.

Wallace fell into Arenas as the Bobcats forward completed an acrobatic reverse layup along the baseline late in the first quarter. The contact bent Arenas' knee awkwardly as he fell to the court.

Arenas had been in the game less than two minutes. He did not start for the first time this season because he was late for the team's shootaround.</div>

Gilbert was helped off the court. Although, Comcast Sports Net isn't showing the game tonight I caught the injury. It looks as though he could have tore something, things just keep getting better and better for the Wizards. After the Wizards lead the conference on Jan. 23, the injuries that occured have pretty much ruined the season for the Wizards. This pretty much assures getting swept in the first round by the raps if Gilbert can't play as well as Caron.

    ____________

(This is just to the big three, there have been other injuries as well.)

    _____________

Jan. 23: Antawn Jamison gets injured (out 6-8 weeks) [Ironically, the game after we had the first seed]
Feb. 25: Caron Butler suffers from back spasms (out 5 days)
Mar. 1: Caron Butler and Antawn Jamison return (Caron does not return at 100%)
Mar. 14: Caron Butler leaves with another injury (out 2 weeks)
    Mar. 28: Caron Butler returns
Apr. 1: Caron Butler breaks hand (Out for season)
Apr. 4: Gilbert Arenas injures knee (status un-known)

    ____________

Things just keep getting better and better. Hopefully it isn't anything too bad however with the Wizards luck this year, who knows.

Dude, I'm watching the game on dewsaw. He wasn't helped off the floor. He was walking by himself. Anyways, to tell you the truth, we are playing better team ball with him out. Etan is having a great night and AD has 15 assists at the end of the 3rd.

Wiz are down by 5 with 6 minutes to go against the bobcats. Truth is we're nothing without Caron/Gilbert but it is true we're playing team ball from what I see (Highlights/Box score).

Well according to NBA.com Gilbert has a sprained knee

The Wizards are screwed hard now. They have been brutally impacted on injueries. Thats the only thing that kept them from playing how the played from November to January continue on.

Good news for the Pistons. No Butler, no Arenas, and no problem getting past the Raptors second round. :yahoo:

This completely fucks over the Wizards. This means we'll probably play the Nets. Man, that will be a series to watch. Huge rivalry there.
