Nope, don't remember Tyus Edney. However, stats say he had a 12.7 PER in his rookie season, compared to 16.5 for Collison. But you could be completely right about this, I'm not sure I've seen Collison play. His stats looked good when filling in for Paul, but that could be misleading. barfo
Okay, okay. How about Damon Stoudemire then? I just think that NO plays a system that really flatters the PG. Dan Dickau averaged 13.2 ppg as their PG one year. Did he ever average half that anywhere else? Of course, that suggests that Paul isn't all that either. But he's a lot more that than Collison.
Man Rasta who pooped in your cereal? Perhaps Debbie Downer has hijacked Rasta's account? Oh and I'm not giving up on my Dita Von Tease/Christina Hendricks/Idog three way either so nyah!
how? in a trade for bosh? as long as the big 3 are there the heat aren't going to be able to pay FA's more than the MLE.
Hey, who's the guy who's posting that you might as well give up on the NBA because of where LeBron James went? I'm the voice of reason, man!
You know this guy might be the voice of Reason as well given the Gulf of Mexico, Iran/Israel, North Korea, the financial crisis and 2012. He's still an UBER downer. I'm suggesting the NBA is a bunch of bullshit. I'm also suggesting that in order to defeat the "Triumverate of South Beach Bitches" one needs to MASSIVELY overwhelm them with talent. Help us CP3-E-O you're our only hope!
To land an All-Star we first have to have a more pro-active front office. With the KP era who knows what deals the Blazers passed up because of the strong emotional attachment KP had for his roster. Jason Quick said that the team was offered All-Star players for Rudy Fernandez last summer. Now? We'd be lucky to get cap relief or a late 1st round pick. Bring in a GM with guts and then we might have a shot at CP3.
Sorry, Rasta, this LBJ thing only INCREASES our chances of landing Paul. He's at home watching his friends go to forming a super-team, while his team does comparatively nothing. He's going to want out more than ever, and the Blazers are a pretty good landing spot - especially if Greg is healthy.
This is what I think as well. If he wants a title and more then the MLE he has few choices: maybe ORL, the Nets but they have Harris, maybe the Bulls but they have Rose, LA but they ain't trading anything better then our offer, or Portland. Portland is by FAR the most likely of those. It all comes down to Shinn. Oh and that Billionaire lost X hundreds of Millions since April he's in the Oil Rig business.
Portland is going to get Chris Paul, and team him with Roy and Oden. Chris Paul will keep Oden healthy. Chris Paul is magic (Johnson).
