Jovic is not my guy, but to dismiss the possibility a young player might blossom siting because teams passed on him (as you did) is ridiculous having been disproven umpteen times. If someone believes player X will develop in time, fine, they're calling their shot. We're just sharing opinions here, none of our discussions effect what transpires in any way.

Bro, I asked him what he loves about Jovic, and I was told " He’s tall, can shoot, and has a chance to be a pretty damn good player"

I am not dismissing it completely, did I say that? It's ridiculous you are making it to seem that way, and it is facts more time those players don't pan out...I don't want to take on Jovic and the rest of the package from Miami because he has "potential"
There is better packages out there if we trade Dame, which is my main point to the Jovic talk.

That is so S2. Take something someone says, and twist it around to imply something very different than the very words that were typed.

oh good grief TBpup, get a grip. I responded to what he wrote, feel free to read it for yourself. Saying that a player isn't going to turn out to be something because teams passed over him in the draft... most illogical

Lmao, what’s more illogical is someone thinking a 27th pick in the draft is good because he is “tall, can shoot and has potential to be good”

And because of that, that’s a good trade piece to take if we trade Dame to you?

    funny you would mention illogical.

He went 27th, but he was projected lottery. The fact that he dropped in the draft doesn't determine whether he's a high-potential prospect.

Regardless of Jovic's potential, Miami's offer for Lillard is garbage, and the Blazers shouldn't even consider taking it, so it's moot.

I understand that, but the fact that he is “tall, can shoot and has potential to be good” isnt a good enough reason for me to think that's a piece from Miami I would be ok trading Dame for with the rest of the garbage the Heat can offer.

How many people in the NBA is tall, can shoot and has potential to be good? That was a vague response to me genuinely asking him what he "loves" about Jovic.

He could be decent or even good one day, who knows but I dont wany anything from the Heat. The Sixers and the Nets have better trade pieces if we trade Dame, imo.

    That's my main point.

Nets for sure have good pieces (plus good draft picks) but what is better about the Sixers? Seem to be just as bad as the Heat imo.

Tyrese Maxey is good player on the uprise, is easily moveable because of his contract and teams would be interested in him, since we may not even need him when we have Scoot and/or Simon. So he can be shipped to another team and trust me he has value out there. Tobias Harris and his expiring contract. Paul Reed is also a nice intriguing young player, showed some flashes in the few games he started this season and in the playoffs for Embiid.

In two playoffs games starting for Embiid, he put up 10pts, 15rebs, 2ast, 1stl, 1 blk and the other game he put up 10pts, 13reb, 2st, 1blk, 1stl and that was vs Boston one game and the Nets the next game

Only thing that's good about Philly is that Maxie has to have more value than Heroo. But I think Miami actually has more young talent.... as sad as that is.
