No, his defense is pretty bad (or was with Boston, at least) but that doesn't mean he's not a decent option at that point, as a talented young player you could eventually build an elite team around.

I trade down and still get to select Steve Nash. I'm pleased.

    I'd obviously rather have Oden.

    That and I hate Bynum.

Ok i can understand that, but why would rather have Oden who has never even play an NBA game over Bynum?
What does he have that Bynum doesnt besides the obvious ( Not played a game yet [IMG])

The ability to be a franchise player, a defensive anchor, and dominant in the paint.

Bynum has proved that he can do all of that already at the NBA level, while Oden hasnt.

    I rest my case.

If you were Kevin Prichard, would you trade Oden for Bynum straight up?

Bynum isn't a defensive anchor or franchise player.

    He averaged 13 and 10.

Would you have drafted Bynum over Oden if you had the chance?

Bynum is a good center to have, but he's 2nd round talent. Picking at the end of the first, you could have taken Paul Pierce, and then picked up Bynum with your high-2nd.

Are you kidding me? The A-train is a beast defensively. I cant believe you just said that. Defensively he is sound, but offensively is where he needs to improve and tell me if the Blazers had Bynum instead of Oden people wouldnt be calling him a "Franchise player" too.. come on now. And yes he did average 13ppg, BUT he really didnt need to score for that Lakers team. Also to answer your other question i dont think most people knew how good Bynum could be and how quickly he would start to Blossom so we didnt hear as much fuzz with him unlike with Oden and people calling him the next " Tim Duncan" So if I had to pick one i probably would have gone with Oden, But for this game and where Bynum is at this point today and where Oden is at right now, I would go with Bynum %100.

And how can you call Oden a " Franchise player" or a defensive anchor if he hasnt even played a game yet!! YOU JUST CANNOT DO THAT!

Truthfully, I dont know. I NEED to see how Oden plays first to make that decision, but at this point Bynum is the proven/better player.
