I watched most of this game, and in all fairness, Washington State just played very well. I think this could be their reemergence to relevance in the Pac-10. They still have a ways to go, but you can't dispute that they're light years ahead of where they've been the past 3-5 years
We suck! and will probably finish the season on a 5 game losing streak. At least hoops season is here. But we have Turquoise basketball uniforms! But at least its only for one game and for a good cause. http://www.osubeavers.com/sports/m-baskbl/spec-rel/111610aad.html
I protest this rodent thread. This is a Duck forum. When the osu rodents ever become good enough to consistently win 8-9 games per season they can have their own forum.
Did a quick check... they won a total of 80 games from the 2000 to the 2009 season for an average of 8 wins a season. What has been holding the #s down is two 5 win seasons (2001, 2005) and one 7 win season (2004) Doing the math for the other 7 seasons thats a total of 63 wins divided by the 7 and that is 9 Win Avg. I'd say thats pretty consistent.
Did some more math and the Ducks During the same 10 seasons totaled 87 wins, and 8.7 wins per season. Also taking out their three worst seasons 7 wins in 2002 and 2006, and 5 wins in 2004... leaving 68 wins in the other 7 seasons for an average of 9.7 wins. Obviously ahigher ceiling but not a ton more consistent. (the higher ceiling is UO had 5 seasons of 10+ wins (not counting this year) to OSU's 2) And OSU reached 9 wins twice to Oregons once.
It's probably worth noting that all 4 of USC's loses have come to teams in what will be the Pac 12 North division next season STOMP
Oregon's been incredibly good since 2000 (counting this year). I'd venture to say they have been the #2 team behind USC, and in a few years, they will have more wins than USC since 2000. Oregon's been dying to break through the USC grasp on the conference (that they had from 02 - 08), and now they finally have.
