Did you go through all the games where Curry, Iguodala, and Bogut played, or just the first 18 games of the season? Warriors also played the fewest games against the east in the entire league up until their current road trip started, and they're way up there in road games too. Yeah I don't get it either. Why not compare GS's starting unit, differentials, etc. against a number of elite teams?
Because, they're both relatively young teams with a ton of potential. Of course they're going to compare them. It's like back in 2008-2009 when the pundits constantly compared the Blazers and Thunder. It's like there can only be one hot young team.
In both cases, the team who won a playoff series got all the attention, no? Except Portland was a BIG TIME darling before the Thunder really took off. Their roster composition and style of play is strikingly similar too though...
Yes, that's exactly what I did. Iguodala has played in 21 games. The Warriors are 15-6 in those games, but Curry didn't play in two of the losses and Bogut didn't play in one of them. BNM
Of the 18 games where Curry, Iguodala and Bogut all played, 8 were on the road and 10 at home. You are correct, only 4 of those 18 games were against Eastern Conference teams, but as I mentioned in my first post only 5 of the games were against teams currently above .500. They've been feasting on the bottom teams in the West with 3 games against the Lakers, 2 against Utah, 2 against Memphis, SAC, DEN (during their current 8 game losing streak), etc. BNM
Golden State is smoking the Heat right now in Miami. Shooting 64% well into the 3rd Q If I'm being honest I'd say they would beat the Blazers in a playoff series. They're pretty close, but I think GS is just a tad better.
I think a series between them would depend on who has HCA. I hope GSW keeps beating the Heat tonight, but the only game I really care about is Bobcats vs Portland.
But what will stats guys point to as evidence of their expertise if we just look at the score board? And, seriously, WTF does Portland have to do with GS anyway? Holy inferiority complex Batman! That the writer goes right after Portland tells you the Blazer are the better team. It's killing E-SPiN that the cool kids in GS aren't quite as cool as the Blazers.
We've beaten OKC (twice), Indiana, SA, Clippers, and Rockets. AND we beat the Warriors silly after Wes and Mo got ejected IN Golden State. GS isn't on our level. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The supposed splash brothers from three point line: Thompson: 40.6% Curry: 40.9 % Our guys: Matthews: 43.1% Lillard: 43.6 % Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
OK, so Nic can handle Steph if he gets into Superman mode. I'm not afraid of Lee/Bogut outdoing LMA/Lopez. Iggy v. Matthews? Basically, it comes down to who's hot, and I have a better feeling about us containing Lee and Curry than them containing Lillard and LMA. Taking nothing away from GSW--they're a heckuva team--but I'm not scared of matching up with them.
