    They don't look cool, either.

I agree with a few exceptions. The new Charger kicks ass.
So does the New mustang of like 3 years ago I think?

Other than that, all these prius and civics and stuff are all just toys. Conveyor belt turnout toys.

Agree on both counts. Mustangs have never been better. The new Chargers and Challengers and Camaros capture that old feeling pretty well.

Back in the day you could (and people did) turn just about anything into a muscle car. There were so many awesome cars in my high school: GTOs, Roadrunners, Chargers, Challengers, Chevelles, Camaros, even Dusters and Darts and Novas were built. Everyone used to cruise the gut and hang out (and race a little). It was fun.

My first car was a ford Fairmont. Baby blue. But somehow I muscled that shit out to where my friends wanted rides all the time. lol.

I was stuck tricking out my little Datsun 510. LOL

I had a buddy who was a mechanical genius. He won the national Plymouth Trouble Shooting contest in college (if you know what that is). When he got done rebuilding his Dodge Coronet (basically a challenger/charger), he took me out for a ride. Started from a slow roll and punched it; at 110 MPH in third gear, he hit fourth and broke the rear tires loose. Yikes.

510s were/are fantastic cars. I did not care much for the suspension setting from the factory - but with very little work you can make them into very nice road or rally racers that are a lot of fun to drive. Almost bought one around 82nd st. in Portland that had the full Africa Rally suspension on it. Was great to drive - but too much rust for me to take it on.

Independent rear suspension made it great on a short course with a slalom or rally cam. Used to see a lot of them going around PIR with other smallish sedans.

I always preferred the slant on the 67' or was it the 68? My stepfather had a few of them when I was a young kid.
