The thing is I don’t really think the Warriors could afford to tank. Regardless on if they feel like they can win it this year, Steph will be 36 by the time the playoffs start, and there are only so many years of Steph left. Unless Steph is injured AND out for the year, I don’t think they’ll try to tank, they’ll probably try their best to stay in the play-in to give Steph a chance at the playoffs. The only reason I think the Warriors would tank is if they know that top 4 pick will be worth something in the trade market. Without even a clear top 3-5, I don’t see them tanking. But like you said, a late lotto pick (or even just a mid teens pick) is better than bottom of the 1st round.
Is Minnesota really going to choke away this game without Steph, Klay and Draymond playing? It would be too Wolvesy of them.
I’d love to be in a position to grab BOTH forwards for our future in this draft. If the Warriors pick had a decent chance of doing that, we can make ‘25 and ‘26 the focus of the trade capital that we want.
Love it, dubs lose again and now 6-6, let's see how longCurry is out, as I said a few days ago their stars are old and injuries will happen
The NBA needs to lay the hammer down on Green. He's a twat. He's been pulling shit like this for a long time.
If the Warriors slip into the Lottery, they may tank hard trying to get the pick in the 1-4 range so they can keep it. And that might not be so bad. Because next year, it is only Top-2 protected and it is a stronger Draft. They would be even older and I doubt whatever pick they got this year would immediately have a huge impact.
With Williams injuries, he's like a nothing. And Brogdon is basically like taking the role Dame would have played if he stayed. The GSW pick may end up being the best asset we get (till the Bucks picks kick in anyway)
Thx for that, didn't realize the next yr top 2 protected scenario, looks like a potential very good pick coming our way this yr or next
