The thing is, if LaMarcus goes to another team, I suspect there is little chance his new coach continues to direct him to attempt to play like a young Nabitchky clone. He could really turn into LaMonster in a different system.

On TNT, Shaq said LaMarcus is definitely GONE, while Chuck thinks he SHOULD stay in Portland.

Listen to Chuck LaMarcus. And while you're at it, take less green so we can better afford to upgrade the team.

Yeah, I know. Like that's going to happen. ;)

LA just wants to be wined and dined, get some attention. He is gonna take the big money from us, he isn't stupid. He will do what Melo did last summer, get a bunch of attention, feel good about himself and then sign that huge contract to stay. He is in a very comfortable position, why not enjoy it.

Yeah, you're right. I hate the Blazers. Thank god the real fans have you to police who is and isn't a fan.

This Lakers talk makes me wonder--If LA indicated that he wanted to go elsewhere, would anyone here be happy with Randle + Lakers' pick for a signed/traded LA?

If we absolutely had to, maybe. Randle+Stanley Johnson/Mario Herzonja/Justise Winslow is a decent package for a rebuild situation.

At 4/5? I was thinking Justice Winslow over those two.

Lamarcus would hate the big market media frenzy. He will never accept a deal to play for Byron Scott.

I'm already sick of the "What's LMA gonna do" bs, and it hasn't really even started yet . . .

Back these claims. The second one is an easy sell, because I think Scott is a shitty coach, but as for the first, what's your basis?

This was discussed a while back concerning what it's like to play with Lebron or Kobe and the chaotic media frenzy that surrounds them. Lamarcus doesn't seem comfortable with all that. I think it was Jabari Parker that talked about it. Portland is a good match for him. He doesn't like the attention that comes with bigger markets. I agree. Here it's his team.

I would totally take Julius randle. I have concerns about his injury, but if it's not a major setback then I expect him to be a star in 2-3 years. Not worth for Aldridge though, just saying since people are mentioning the Lakers.

have to wonder if the aging Spurs fist rd playoff loss tarnishes them as a destination for LMA, they would like have to shed some assets as well to have capspace to sign him, that and old players is not a recipe for winning
