Yeah, that crossed my mind too, but considering DJ is a solid defender at every position he plays, and is the only player to ever win a batting title on both leagues and is a career .300 hitter, I just can't justify not having him in the line up virtually every day. Word is that the Yanx and A's are talking about a blockbuster deal that may net the Yanx one of the A's young starting pitchers, and my guess is that Gleyber Torres just might be a key trade chip for the Yanx.
I hope so, and I think it's inevitable. Imo, GT had a shitload of stress on his shoulders knowing he had to nail down SS, but he didn't. He had some dynamite offense when he was playing 2nd, and I believe a return to 2nd will calm his nerves. He wasn't a gold glover at 2nd, but he was diarrhea at SS.
