C'mon MM, you're saying you know absolutely nothing about the game?

Because that statement certainly implies total ignorance of the skills and talent that lead Bob Whitsitt to draft Travis, led Allen and Company to spend who knows how much time and money developing him, and then there's the dozens and dozens of games we would have lost without him.

This is the NBA, the cream of the crop.

They are all very good basketball players.

TO can create his shot at any time, against anybody. He's got some slick footwork and ball-handling skills, and has executed some sweet fakes on some great players. His palms are made of duct tape, and he can snag the slipperiest rifle pass in traffic.

Many here criticize his defense but I know Sergio appreciated how well he spaced the court when we had the ball. And Roy probably loves the fact he's never being double-teamed when Travis is out there.

And under pressure with the game on the line, you can't deny he's money.

Only problem now is we don't have a PG who can keep up with him, in fact the new guy failed his conditioning test!

Oh yeah? When did Sergio whisper that sweet nothing into your ear?

If we put Roy in the dumpster, Rudy will step up for the first 3 quarters at SG. Outlaw will carry us in the 4th, from SF, or, if from PF, Aldridge can sit. Nate is a good coach. He'll figure out a way. As my opponents during the Whitsitt era said, it's worth blowing up a good team to get rid of bad character.

    P.S. You photograph well! Who's the tub-o-lard?

Miller took more shots than anyone on the team except LaMarcus.

    Way to distribute. :biglaugh:

PapaG and Maris are this board's version of Abbot and Costello.

Re: Goodbye Outlaw, Hello Roy - Scapegoat 2009-10

How many assist does Roy average per game?

How many assist does Outlaw average per game?

If you can't figure it out from there, then I can't help you. (I'll give you a hint, Roy averages over 5 times as many assist per game as Outlaw).

To be fair, PapaG wasn't calling Roy selfish--he was calling out BengalDuck's characterization of Roy as such.

It's threads like this that make me proud of the Blazers fans and their ability to carry on level headed, well reasoned discussions in a civilized manner.

    I second this.

His play in the second half would have embarassed a rookie coming out of high school. It was, far and away, the worst I have seen him play.

Re: Goodbye Outlaw, Hello Roy - Scapegoat 2009-10

Gotta have the rock to share it.

Roy has the ball in his hands roughly 30 times longer per game than Outlaw, making Outlaw's assist per possession minute far higher than Roy's.
