im having one of my feelings again. Why do i c Nene coming to Chicago instead of Drew Gooden? JR Smith plus 2007 option to swipe the Knicks pick for Nene. this one is not likely to happen tho. so far ive been right about 3 things remember i was right about Tyrus Thomas until people kept saying Paxson is not going to pick him so i changed it and we did pick him. also remember when i said Rodney Carney and people said he will not fall on us well Paxson did pick him and then traded him. also about JR Smith possibly going to Denver which is not official yet tho. lol.

So Nene is not coming here.

I'm pretty sure the Nuggets want to get rid of KMart first, so it's more likely he's going to be gone than Nene. He doesn't see eye to eye all that well with Karl and he's had a history of injuries. Throw in his huge max deal, and it's easy to see why they want him gone. Too bad for them they haven't found any takers.
It is going to really hard for the Nuggets to get rid of K-Mart unless he starts living up to that contract.
i dunno but to me its something that we dont know about that is going on with Denver and Chicago. Questions i want to know. y is it talking so long for Nene to be able to sign the contract (rembember he only agreed)? Wasn't he like one of the first players to agree to a contract which was on July 2nd and its now July 19th. another thing is y is Denver taking so long with the Jr. Smith deal? To me, its a steal it doesnt take much thinking into trying to c if it is a good move or not. another thing i think is that Denver might think they r going to be stuck with K-Mart. I heard a rumor that Isiah Thomas is not even interested in K-Mart. If thats true wut makes u think any other GM would be interested in him. The only team i c him helping is New Jeresy again but will New Jeresy want him back? i read in an article, that The Nuggets intend to sign him July 12 and have announced such, <font face=""Arial Black"">but are still getting phone calls from teams wanting to sign and trade for him</font>, even though (agent) Dan Fegan would get another $10 million for Nene in that kind of deal." http://www.denverpost.com/nuggets/ci_4016788 Could one of the teams be Chicago? To me our biggest need was to get a post-player going into the off-season. I think it was more of a bigger need than to get a true Center. Could Nene be our next post-player? Jr Smith plus 2007 option to swipe Knicks pick for Nene. We dont need Jr Smith and i really do not think the Knicks r going to be the top 5 worst teams this coming up season. When Larry Brown was the coach most of the players did not like him and as a result they did not listen to him and played their way but now that Thomas is going to be coach i think they will listen. Denver gets a shooting guard that they needed last season and Chicago gets a post-player that we needed last season. Im just trying to get people interested
There's no way we bring in Nene. He'd give us another huge contract and that's not something Pax wants (why do you think he unloaded Tyson after bringing in Wallace). If we do that, the likelyhood of us bringing back our core (Deng, Noc, Hinrich, Gordon) slims a lot. We'd likely have to pay luxury tax galore if that happens, and I'm sure that's not something the front office wants to do. So, to me, that kills any thoughts of Nene coming here. Plus, we just got Tyrus Thomas. He IS our PF for the future. There should be no ifs, ands, or buts about it. We're not going to bring in Nene to hamper that development. And beyond all of this, who the hell would we trade? The only players making that kind of money are PJ and Ben, and we're surely not trading Ben, and the reason we brought in PJ was to get cap relief after this season, so it'd be pointless to trade him for Nene, which would, in hindsight, make the Chandler trade pointless because we'd be bringing in just as much salary as we got rid of. All these factors point to not bringing in Nene, and I hope we don't. I don't want him.
There is no way that Nene should come here. Why would we have gotten rid of Chandler? Because we got Wallace and we have to sign our young guys back in the future. Then why would we go and get another player with a contract that's worth 10 million per year.

You do not want to keep 2 (Tyson Chandler and Tyrus Thomas) of the same type players on our teams playing the same position, to me it is a waste of money and roster space. Using the excuse by saying it would be hard to sign guys like Kirk Hinrich, Ben Gordon, Luol Deng, and Nocioni was just a nicer excuse from Paxson instead of saying Chandler was a bust for our team so New Orleans would not think about him being a bust and possibly deciding not to trade with us especially if New Orleans is probably the only team that would want Tyson. Also Paxson did not pick Tyson Chandler to be on our team he was here when he got the job and after Eddy got sick he did not want to lose 2 big men especially when this league is lacking big men. and i bet u anything Paxson never probably did think Tyson was a good fit and always wanted to trade him so he wanted to make sure he got someone good n return if Tyson left and that player was Ben Wallace and Tyrus Thomas which Paxson hopes Tyrus Thomas can learn from Ben Wallace, who is much better and gets along with Skiles unlike Chandler. Now our guys wont be saying ur paying Tyson Chandler a bust more than me and im doing better than him n just about every stat and want out, thats y he got rid of Chandler. Paxson never did mention how he would have trouble paying 4 Curry, Chandler, Hinrich, Gordon, Deng, and Nocioni n 2004-2005. So to me it wont be hard to pay 4 Nene, Wallace, Hinrich, Gordon, Deng, and Nocioni if 6 of 6 guys r worth wut they making and not 4 out 6 guys. Also the Drew Gooden rumor. If Paxson is looking at him he wants Nene money so Drew Gooden, Wallace, Hinrich, Gordon, Deng, and Nocioni is just the same thing as wut im saying about getting Nene instead who fits our needs more because hes a post-player instead of getting Drew Gordon which i feel Nocioni is better than him.

Your explanation made some sense, but there where many parts that left me saying ?what?. Paxson may not have drafted Chandler, but he always liked him. When he and Curry where set to become free agents, even before Curry?s heart issues, Chandler was always the main priority for Paxson. The reason we traded Chandler was to use the cash to resign Hinrich and Gordon, make no mistake about it. Had we not done that move we would have been in a situation similar to the one the Warriors where in when Gilbert Arenas became a free agent. A situation in which we either lose our star player for nothing, or resign him and are in cap hell for the next five to six years. Need less to say Paxson did not want that. Although, the Tyrus Thomas drafting had a lot to do with the move as well it was not nearly as big a factor as you make it out to be. Thomas has shown range, and speed to be a small forward in the league, and his lack of an offensive game is a huge misconception. His offensive game is far more developed then people where making it out to be. Having Chandler and Tyrus would not have been a big issue had we not signed Ben Wallace. As far as Drew Gooden goes if he is looking for Nene money, I guarantee Paxson will not sign him. Just because a player is looking for a certain amount of cash does not mean he will get it. If we did a sign and trade I believe we could get him for around a little more than the MLE.

However, there is a problem when each of them are on massive contracts and raking in $10+mil a year. That's the issue there. That's why we unloaded Chandler, cause we don't want to be paying him $54mil over the next five years to sit the bench to Big Ben. Next, I was making no excuses. We do need cap space to resign those guys without going into the luxury tax, hence another reason why we did this trade. It's not an excuse, it's legit. Also...if he didn't want Tyson, why did he make him priority #1 last offseason and give him that massive contract. That's totally a sign of not wanting someone <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Also the Drew Gooden rumor. If he doesn't, no way do we bring in Gooden. $60mil is way too much for him, and beyond that, I don't want him anyways. Hell, we don't need him. We have plenty of people to fill the PF spot.

the league sucks bums are making too much. not to say gooden is a bum but look at this offseasons sighnings rediculus. there are so few good bigmen in the game that average players are making star dollars.
