Yeah, when you said you weren't seeing it, I started to wonder if that was a 1 day offer. I wouldn't be surprised to see them drop it relatively soon. i'm sure it was just a way to get early adopters to buy one. Though at $35, I don't think people needed that much extra incentive.

yeah, I'll give an update once I get it. It isn't supposed to ship until the 7th, so it'll be a few weeks before I'll have anything. I read one early review and it said that the updated Netflix app worked a lot more seamlessly than using the Chrome extension. Not surprising i guess. I've also read that you need a decently good wifi connection. Not a problem for me at home, but my plan of taking it on the road to hotels might not be practical as most have spotty wifi. We'll see though, if I forget to post a review by the 15th, bump this thread to remind me.

So do you interpret that last bit to mean a solid connection, not necessarily your internet speed. IE if I am happy with my internet speed to stream on my computer, it should be the same with a solid wifi connection on the chromecast?

Did that apple tv run you 435$? Cause that's how much it'll cost me for my 40" + this thing.

It says it is still out of stock but it is now letting you order again from Amazon so I went ahead and ordered. Who knows when I will get it though. Probably a couple weeks.

Keep an eye out on your delivery date. Mine was supposed to ship by August 7, but I got a shipping notice over the weekend and am supposed to get it by Saturday!

Actually Amazon.com is cheaper as they don't charge tax or shipping. They are sold out a lot though so you have to be patient if you want to save a couple dimes. And really we are talking like 4 bucks so it doesn't really matter much unless you are a real cheapo (like me sometimes).

Without looking I would guess that is from 3rd party. Amazon directly is sold out. I paid 35 flat.

I went ahead and purchased through Google. $38.99 total.

I'll be using though my tablet. I'll plan to now subscribe to NetFlix.

    Thanks!

Hopefully, this will all work through my receiver, as well. I may have to do a bit of re-connecting....in light of my dvd player. I believe I only have one hdmi connection through the receiver...which currently goes to the dvd player. There "may" be an optical connection back there, though.

I'm sure I'll figure it out.
