If I'm UTA, I take that - Unless BOS sweetens their offer. Hayward doesn't want to be there and can opt out after next season. Might was well get what you can for him now. BNM
The problem for PHX is they would have to include enough salary to make the deal work since they are just over the cap PLUS those Draft picks. Knight or Bledsoe would do it but then I wouldn't include both picks.
Story being refuted by a few others I've seen. Main source on him wanting out isn't great. I remember him getting laughed at on twitter by Hollinger last year. He was talking about a Conley -Jackson swap, Hollinger , who works for Memphis, responded, mocking him. Don't think there's much to see here
Both sides came out about the same time. It's not nearly as much fun to discuss the possibilities of "teams not making a trade' though.
Utah needs a go to guy. That's why they're turning down draft picks. They would want CJ, but for me it would require more than Hayward.
I don't see us having anything to trade for Hayward...he'd fit great in Stotts system but Utah can get more from him elsewhere.
Having lived in Utah for a number of years, I can think of a number of reasons why he is unhappy living there. But I agree that Boston has a lot of assets to get the trade done. Way more than us......that and they see us as a bitter rival.
Hayward in Utah is like Kevin Love in Minnesota.....looks really good in that environment. Take him out of it and he becomes just a decent player...not such a go to guy
Yeah but he would be a great third option, and unlike Love...he is a pretty good defensive player and ball handler. And like Love he is a very good passer.
