I've always found it funny that people complain that the places where the most people are have the most influence. Yeah, no shit.

I think if there was a re-call, you'd get a new election. Since there is a next in command (SOS), they're the new governor until the next election. Thats why Johnson and Ford were president, and why California had a special election that elected the Governator. They recalled Gray Davis.
People who choose to live like sardines in a can, commit the most heinous atrocities against each other, and view Nature as a foreign environment are not my idea of anyone who should be making decisions for society as a whole.
