The more I think about the guys that were drafted ahead of Trent, the better the value appears to be. There's not a lot of separation between him and guys like Allen, Walker and Divincenzo imo.

Might be the best bet to shoot and although he doesn't have the tools of Lonnie or the versatility of Donte and Grayson, I'm as high or higher on his chances of settling into a bench role in the NBA.

Aesthetically, he has some Bayless in him that turns me off. Just looks awkward around the rim and overall not a very fluid athlete and don't think he'll impact the game in enough ways to be more than slightly above replacement level, but that's a fine return at #37.

Very safe pick in 2nd round.

Kind of a wide body though so I think the earlier 8'4" number is pretty close.

    That's not "data" you're using, it's speculation.

Will someone in the Blazers organization please measure Trent's standing reach. To settle this long running drama.

Should that be barefoot or in shoes? If shoes, what kind of shoes? :-)

Seriously makes me wonder if anyone has tried that. Get French tips before the measurement and add 1/4".

I don't care if 6" high heal shoes are used, as long as every player wears the same height shoe heal.

Simplify and standardize the players measurement procees so honest comparisons between players can be made. The process now used is too confusing.

I agree when it comes to shoe size. But then, you can see their height without shoes, so that's irrelevant.
But with wingspan and reach, guys will intentionally make standing reach shorter occasionally to increase vertical.
So if I have a good wingspan, and athleticism questions, I don't fully extend frommy shoulders, preserve 2-3inches, and then hoo from 36to 39inch vertical, and stand out more

    Good answer.

It should be the responsibility of the person/s measuring that the player is not cheating. It should be verified the player is reaching as far as possible.

His height to standing reach ratio is in the bottom 1%. Last year, his standing reach was measured at 8'4, and he measured in with a shorter height amd wingspan. How is that not data?

Bit he's grown since then, in terms of height and wingspan.
