Sorry, I'm a little late to the party here.

Wallace for a good 1st round pick = nice job.

Felton and Crawford still here? Not so good.

Camby's expiring deal for 2 guys the Rockets were desperate to dump = the idiot front office we have grown to love! So much for having cap space next summer.

Both are expiring. The Rockets declined their options at the beginning of the season. Even if they wanted to accept their team options, they can't.

I just looked at Storyteller's site ... I'll check again.

    http://storytellerscontracts.com/

It says on the page that his 2012-2013 option was declined (same with Flynn).

I think that this season was lost anyway. Getting good value for Wallace is nice, and getting our best center off of the roster is probably going to result in more losses. Which is better for the outlook of the franchise on the court.

It's all pretty dramatic, and it would have been nice to get some value for Camby or Crawford, but... I'm glad to see them doing something. I hope it's part of a plan.

Love the moves they made today ... nice to see some excitment back in blazerland. say what you want but the absolute worst spot to be is "fighting" for an eigth seed and having the fan base become apethetic. Every blazer fan i've talked to today is finally excited again, after a couple years of waning interest. One friend even said it's the best day for the franchise since the winning the lottery. Not sure I agree with him but def breathes some life into the franchise.

NJ is desperate to keep Deron. They couldn't get Howard, so I think Wallace was the best player available and they took it. They can't sell Deron on rookies, they need vets and wins. Unfortunately I don't think Wallace is enough to turn them around and I don't think the team is good enough to convince him to stay.

I'll grade an A for Wallace trade, B for Camby, and an F for not being to make any kind of deal for Crawford; I think there was a deal out there but the Blazers wanted something better and nobody blinked. This leaves the team and Crawford in a very difficult situation; there is absolutely no benefit to the team for him to play a minute so how is that gonna play out? And what if he gets hurt on or off the court in the next few months and decides to exercise his option year? Absolutely inexcusable. And I give them an F for not buying out Felton yet; if they were gonna do it might as well have done it yesterday. They could still redeem themselves if he never sees the court again.

I'd play them in blowouts or whenever the game's outcome is assured to be a loss. Let them experience the shit that they are responsible for. Don't let them off easy by not making them play.
And if they refuse, then we get to fine them and get some of their salary back.

I'm happy they get to participate in the rest of this fucked up season. They deserve nothing less.
