<div class="quote_poster">Quoting PF21:</div><div class="quote_post">I didnt mean oscar robertson i meant San Antonios center a little while ago, i may have gotten the name wrong</div> David Robinson? But how would Dominique Wilkens play center? He's a small forward. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">And why can't maravich play the 3 spot, I'd put him ther cuz i treat 3s like guards</div> He wouldn't be strong enough for that position, and he's primarily a ball-handler and play-maker so he'd be better suited as a guard.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting PF21:</div><div class="quote_post">SG- Bird: Greatest 3-point shooter</div> what nonsense. Bird was a incredible outside shooter and all, but he would get murdered on 1on1 defense against the top SGs of the nba. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting PF21:</div><div class="quote_post">And why can't maravich play the 3 spot, I'd put him ther cuz i treat 3s like guards </div> but the 3 spot isn't a guard spot, its a forward spot. if your arguement holds true, then allen iverson should be able to play the 3 spot. well most JBB members tend to agree on similar terms the greatest team of all time, but one list stands out among the rest: C: Wilt Chamberlain PF: Karl Malone SF: Larry Bird SG: Michael Jordan PG: Magic Johnson i dont see any reason how any team can be greater than that.
My favourites from what I have seen in my lifetime: PG- Stockton/Kidd- We have Stockton who is the all-time leader in assists who can run the pick and roll to perfection and run a half court set to perfection. On the other side we have Kidd who is the best I have ever seen in running the fast break. SG- Michael Jordan/Kobe- I think MJ is the smartest/greatest shooting guard of all time. Nuff said. Kobe is the closest thing in the NBA that we can compare to Jordan to he would be his backup by default. SF- Scottie Pippen/Kevin Garnett- Contraversial to put Scottie in here? I don't think so. Scottie is the best one on one defender I have seen (and I'm an Artest fan) and he is the perfect compliment to Jordan. You need to have somewhat of a three point threat coming from the 3 spot so he gets my nod over Garnett. KG is obviously to me the best backup available. His mid range and post game are amazing. He can pass, rebound, score and defend, he does it all. PF- Karl Malone/Tim Duncan- Karl Malone today is not 1/3rd of the player he was in his prime. I consider him the best passing power foward in the game and it can be argued that his mid range jump shot was near unstoppable. A perfect fit for my point guard John stockton, they alone could be the offense pick and rolling the opposing team to death. Tim Duncan is the best power foward in the game today and probably the best next to Karl that I have seen to date. C- Shaquille O'neal/David Robinson- Shaquille O'neal is the most dominant centre ever in the NBA IMO. That is including Wilt Chamberlain as well. No one can stop this guy one on one at all. Not even any of the old timers. David Robinson gets this spot just due to the fact that there aren't a whole lot of centres that were as good as he was. I dont' consider him great but he gets this spot by default.
C-Wilt Chamberlin PF-Larry Bird ( he is listed as a pf) SF-Julius Erving SG-Michael Jordan (YOU HAVE TO HAVE HIM ITS PART OF THE LAW LOL!!) PG- Magic Johnson
<u>First Team</u> PG- Magic Johnson SG- Michael Jordan SF- Larry Bird PF- Karl Malone C- Wilt Chamberlin <u>Second Team</u> PG- John Stockton SG- Clyde Drexler SF- Julius Erving PF- Kevin Garnett C- Kareem Abdul-Jabar I am not so sure about my second team, but I know my first team.
PG: Magic Johnson SG: Michael Jordan SF: Larry Bird (Kevin Garnett maybe?) PF: Tim Duncan (Karl Malone a close second) C: Hakeem Olajuwon
