    The Hustler was a great flick! Jackie Gleason I dont recall stared in many movies but he was super, in that one!

    That movie factors in prominently in my and my wife's love story--we've watched it together many times, and quote/reference it often. To me, the fact that you never find out how they do in the final competition eliminates it from consideration as a true sports movie.

    Great choice. Totally forgot about this one, and I went back and saw it several times when it came out. And I don't even consider car racing to be a sport in any sense of the word........
