I recall hearing that while Oden wanted to return to basketball, he had no intention of coming back to Portland, BEFORE the team released him.
Yeah, I mean why stick with a team that's stuck by you through 5 fucking years of this bullshit... If he thinks the state of Oregon is his problem, and thinks Indiana is going to magically put humpty-dumpty together again, he's even dumber than he looks.
I think it was pretty obvious that Greg had no love for Portland. How can I prove it? If you follow the team closely, you saw it. That's how. Getting released from Portland made him giddy, I'm sure. Let's not forget about the countless hours and money our team put in to his eternal rehab. I honestly don't feel much sympathy for Greg. I feel way more sympathy for our fan base. Oden has no heart. And Oden hated Portland. Close the book.
Impossible. Don't Lie. FTFY. Being a Fan does not equate to "Following the Team Closely." Unless you knew Greg personally or somebody else who did, you don't no $hit about the reality of the situation. Saying he has no heart after rehabbing from 3 MF surgeries is plain ignorant. Very Weird, it's like they're guilty of something. The very first MF surgery for Greg was always very fishy to me. Then went in like, oh were just going to a little scope, and all of a sudden our #1 draft pick wakes up with MF! WTF is that, the kid was only 18 and they go straight down the gauntlet. Fucked up if you ask me.
Link please. I don't recall hearing anything of the sort. Not saying it didn't happen, but if it did, you should be able to back it up with some proof. BNM
Actually it was reported jaynes. There was no comments that said otherwise. That why I suspected they would waive him.
Link please. By posting a link to a quote from Greg saying he had no love for Portland. Link please. Link please. Oh wait... I get it. You're just saying we should take your word for it, because you are Greg's therapist and know EXACTLY what he thinks and feels. Link please. Damn! Got me again. Nothing you've posted is an actual fact, just your biased personal opinions with nothing to back them up except for your gut feel and your own anger. Really? Thanks for clearing that up. Because our management drafted yet another guy with huge expectations and bad knees. Link please... Link please... Good advice. We should all look at it objectively, like you, right? BNM
It wasn't the normal "spin" type reporting by jaynes. It was like "Oden said that he wants a fresh start and start his own rehabilitation". Also, he did put his house for sale and went back to indiana. If that's not a telling sign that he doesn't want to play in Portland, then I guess we can agree to disagree.
Link please. And reported by Jaynes how? Was it a quote from Oden? Did Jaynes even speak to Oden on the subject, or was it just Dwight's opinion that that's what Greg wanted? Jaynes isn't a beat writer that follows the team and interacts with he players. He's an overinflated gas bag with no inside sources and an unjustifiably high opinion of himself. Everything he "reports" is just his own pontificating. He gets paid to spout controversial opinions and stir the pot, not interview the players. In court, everything Dwight "reports" would be considered hearsay, at best. Most of it isn't even that. It's out and out fabrication. Of course, if you have a link to Dwight quoting Oden on the subject, by all means post it. BNM
I'm on my iPad so it's like pulling teeth. Now you're making me go to my computer. Alright I'll do it for you cause I like you.
This was the link... http://www.csnnw.com/pages/landingblazers?Source-Oden-selling-Portland-home-and-se=1&blockID=669030&feedID=5212&qv=1 And there was no "actual quotes" by Oden; but in all honesty; if he puts his house up for sale and goes back to Indiana; then in his statement he talks about having a "Fresh Start"; I think it was pretty obvious he didn't want to ever play again in Portland.
http://www.blazersedge.com/2012/3/13/2869038/haynes-blazers-c-greg-oden-selling-portland-home That was 10 days ago. They waived him 8 days ago. 10 > 8.
