Looked decent in garbage time against the Nugz. Bulls should offer him a contract through the end of the season.

The guy has a 31.5 PER. Someone scored when they signed him. :)

Anyhow, in the preseason I suggested the Bulls sign him to vet minimum. He was never awful, just boneheaded. And he was basically a shorter version of Noah (good D, shot blocking, limited offense).

I followed him a little bit after in Charlotte, he was bad. Very bad. Got bullied down low, jumper was flat, he was hesitant to use his athletic ability....could go on and on.

Yeah, seems like Thomas was a player with some tools who relied on his athleticism. And then he was turned into a borderline player by a major injury. We have a little experience with that. If Thomas is healthy now he could turn out to be a score for someone. I keep going back to the fact that big men seem to learn at such a slow and steady rate, that you almost give up on them and then all the sudden they are productive cornerstones. Thomas could be one of those guys.
