<div class="quote_poster">Quoting AlleyOop:</div><div class="quote_post">Biedrins was in a minor car accident today, and has a stiff neck. I don't know what the Warriors are thinking -- Monta Ellis should be doing most of the scoring tonight (along with Dunleavy and JRich) but Fisher and company refuse to give him the rock.</div> Damn, serious? In that case good thing the W's played it better safe than sorry. Also, yeah, I blame the Fish for killing every fastbreak opportunity we've had. Pietrus is also playing a bit boneheaded, but we've got no way to create offense unless either him or Dunleavy are driving. We can't move off the ball because for some reason everyone crowds under the hoop. Space the floor you morons. And the Warriors don't even use that foul to give on the Memphis posession... Unbelievable. And it turns into a 3 point play. This is why sometimes you can't rely on some rookies or guys that aren't always aware of the situation. They just aren't in charge here. It's like a pitcher or catcher in baseball forgetting what the count is or how many outs there are. Well, comment on the game some more. It's Jack Bauer time for me.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Well, comment on the game some more. It's Jack Bauer time for me.</div> Good move, custodians. I always have to catch the whole thing after the season ends because I have no television.
Match is equally frustrating for us Memphis fans. We're into the usual second half slump and are simply relying on Pau to carry us. Another loss today and we've effectively cancelled out the win the other day and are right back into our shocking form slump. Whichever way it goes, one set of fans is going to be gutted.
Dunleavy made the play of the night IMO: after Foyle's block on Jones, Dunleavy --with one hand and in one smooth motion -- batted the ball away and then batted it up court to JRich for the fast break. It was a small thing, but it was a pivotal kick out, in a close game, that led to 2 free throws. Now... can JRich hit them?
Warriors were in the game, but damn Pietrus just committed the dumbest foul in the game. OMG. The vets are doing okay. Foyle and Fish are doing well. ahahaha Memphis forgot they had a foul to give. Nice! Go Fish! Ah we lost. Good going Pietrus, you dumbass. Warriors over the limit and he commits an intentional foul. What a f'n moron. Puts the guy on the line with a tie game. Goddamit. He should be benched in 4th quarters if he's going to pull some stupid sit like that.
Well... Monty subs in Pietrus for Monta Ellis, and Barnett says "Montgomery needs experience in there right now." I'm thinking to myself, "Ellis plays -- right now -- under more control and with better discipline than Pietrus ever will. that was a completely uninformed comment, Barnett." ' Sure enough, Pietrus has a brain-fart and fouls Atkins at mid-court in a tie game. lol
Are you kidding me Pietrus? You foul a guy with a tie game at half court with no fouls to give? Should have just kept Ellis in. We need a miracle shot by Fish!
Foyle got shook on gasol's drive, when gasol got to the rim Foyle's back was facing the front of Gasol.
How can you be so damn stupid to foul someone at halfcourt with a tie game? Its unbelievable. Its that kind of immaturity that kills us. Its painful to watch the Warriors play.
Bad luck boys. Both teams sucked and neither deserved the win, just glad we were the ones who came out on top. Hope Baron and Murphy are back soon. Good luck for the rest of the year.
Pietrus is so stupid. OMG. I'm still in shock. This is like when Chris Webber in the NCAA tourney called a timeout after he was told in the last timeout that there would be no more timeouts left. He calls timeout, turns the ball over, the other team gets the technical free throw plus posession and they end up winning the game. Pietrus, what an idiot! He pulled a Webber! If I have to see idiots like this cost us more games this season, I'd rather not watch Warriors ball. And the stink of it is, the guys who do know better sometimes can't get it done on both ends of the floor like Pietrus can. I'm just so frustrated how stupid Pietrus is sometimes. Absolutely pissed he cost the Warriors the game almost singlehandedly and throughout the entire game. Idiot turnovers by him and the stupid intentional foul at halfcourt to seal the deal. Maybe fans ought to trust the coach the next time he gets benched in favor of Dunleavy or Cheaney finishing the game. Coaches ought to know who's going to be more under control in a clutch game situation. Terrible. Just stupid. Idiot Pietrus.
Fisher just stood there in disbelief and Pietrus shook it off like it was nothing. Atleast show some emotion and let everyone know that you know it was a dumbass play that cost your team the damn game. ...sorry, frustrated fan.
Holy Crap 21 people viewing the Warriors Forum! Unfortunately, we're all here to lament this tough loss. What's was Pietrus doing? The last few series we needed Biedrins tough rebounding in the lane, plus it didn't help that Monty benched our biggest players to go small. Monta got a tough break with the jump ball, I think that's what turned the game around. It gave the Grizz 14 seconds on the clock and gave them a chance to crash the glass and keep the ball in their possession. I can only imagine what Musselman was thinking when Pietrus made that dumb foul, he must have been chuckling to see such a bonehead play.
I'm really not all that surprised, Pietrus' mistakes have been whats been taking him so long to get the starting job. Hes a risky player because of his low bball IQ but it was an extremely stupid move none the less. We would have had a great shot at the game if Baron or Troy played, we needed all the offense and rebounding we could get in this one. Tough loss but the team showed alot of heart and they should have gotten it done when the game was up for grabs.
You'd think with a seven point lead going into the fourth that it should never have come down to that situation, but I guess it's the warriors. I wonder how much they've been outscored by in the fourth quarter this season.
