Nicolas Anelka has been dropped by the French national football team and has been sent home today. Apparently he did not like the direct criticism Domenech made of his performance at halftime during the match against Mexico and he blew a fuse. I'm assuming that's why we didn't see him return and most likely could be the reason why France lost their way in that 2-0 defeat. The team is falling apart and it is really a shame. I have a feeling though that this is just Anelka being a prick since Domenech has always protected him when he's been criticized by the French media. We all know Anelka has not played well for country as he has for club and he shouldn't have been selected for the World Cup to begin with.

^ Maybe not but Domenech has done a miserable job both selecting the team and preparing them for games. They are so incongruous.

That's unlikely, I think Henry fell out with Domenech as well, he's going to let henry rott in the bench as punishment. Expect gignac to start.

Anelka is not as good for country as he is for club. First, Domenech should have played Gignac from the start. He gives the squad size and strength up front. Second, Domenech should have called up Kévin Gameiro instead and used him as a sub. If the French squad wait any longer, he'll likely play for Portugal instead. The Lorient striker is already being considered David Villa's replacement at Valencia next season.

And it just keeps getting worse!

Whether you're a supporter of the French national team or not you have to admit that this is not only pathetic but also sad. Due to infighting we won't be able to see one of the world's best teams display their talents on the pitch. Way to ruin the hopes and dreams of a nation.

The video is amazing. Particularly the guy tossing his credentials at the end of it. Must see stuff.

I'm just hoping to see something happen where Uruguay beat Mexico and South Africa beat France and go through, but I don't like the odds of it at all. South Africa need to make up five goals, so I don't think its likely, but Uruguay has Forlan and Suarez and France are French, so who knows.

I think there is a good chance that France go through to the next round.
