Also Sotir Nini (take the s's out) is Albanian who got in the game. (supposed to be the future for Greece) So I'm excited for their win. lol

 

Argentina looked good.

 

Really like watching teams wake up in the second round of group play. Argentina in particular were great to watch. I frequently forget how good Tevez is. Messi and Higuain were terrific in tandem, but Tevez was a machine out there. Their defense is still questionable against better teams, but their attack is as brilliant as one would expect given the names on display. Also, watching Jonas run out there to start a match makes me confused for a moment and think I'm watching a rugby match.

I want Greece to go with Argentina, so hopefully it works out in the end.

 

I hate Greece, they put you to sleep with their boring football. I was so disgusted that they drew Ukraine in the final qualification round. I was hoping that both teams would face Bosnia and Russia so that both would get knocked out. Instead, we have a team that is so predictable and so boring that I absolutely cannot watch a minute of their matches. Okay, so this entire group is just awful, rant over. I'm sure it will be down to Nigeria and South Korea unless Maradona screws up, which is likely to happen sooner rather than later.

I'd prefer the hiccup occurs in the round of 16.

I hope Argentina wipe the floor with Mexico, then lose. Mostly because I hate Mexico enough to try to find a way to post my hatred for Mexico in every thread. I've got three done now.

As for this group, I was hoping to see Nigeria make it happen, but it wouldn't work out for them. Not sure what they were doing bringing in a manager who wouldn't play their usual style. Nigeria do well by with strong, fast athletes all over the field and just running all match long. They're not a defending side like Lagerbeck tried to make them.
