With the exception of Donovan, the US passing seems to be pretty shitty.

    hahahahahahaha

We deserve a win. So many shots on goal. That terrible call on offsides. Fucking Landon Donovan is the heart of this team.

I'm quite disappointed in the performance of Daniele De Dempsey today. I know he gets hacked at quite a bit, but as soon as it happens and he doesn't get the call, he just starts sulking and diving for the rest of the match. Perhaps if Cristiano RoDempsey stayed upright for at least a few minutes in the second half, he would have gotten some of the calls he deserved.

As for the match, it was a great win over the Algerians who came out in the second half content to just eliminate the US with a 0-0 draw. Altidore was terrific at holding up play, but was back in the midfield too much for my liking. Edu and Bradley were a very strong pair centrally and as much as I don't like Feilhaber on the wing, he was very dangerous today and provided some width. It was a terrific effort on the right side of the defense as Nadir Belhadj was not a threat at all today, as he usually is on the fast counter that Algeria likes. As much as I don't like Bornstein, he did fairly well today at one thing. He was the closest thing to a winger we've put on the field in this tournament. He didn't provide much service from out there, but he did get attention out there and open up the middle a bit. Algeria apparently don't have anyone who has ever played on the right, or else they would have found some way to catch Bornstein out of position.

And that's a lot of negative there. Overall, this is another typical gritty performance for the US. The first half was wide open, the second half was all US as the Algerians were defending and little else. This was definitely a deserved win for the United States and a deserved group victory of a team that should have been leading going into this match. Other teams will bring better players, but I don't think any will bring a better effort that the US.

We can all speculate about the two disallowed goals, or we can now move on as the team did.

    Let's move on, next!
