Goal by Sneijder and what a howler it was. Japan have been playing very well though and have endurance to burn, so they may get their goal.

 

Not sure if I would classify that as a howler, to be honest. Sure, the 'keeper could of done better but the volley was hit with some venom.

 

Japan have stepped up their game since the goal and have sent a couple of shots whistling over in the last couple of minutes.

 

Nakamura comes on for Japan. Great player.

A little bit disappointed with this game, van Persie hasn't been the best.

 

Two clear goalscoring opportunities for Affelay and Huntelaar but both suck dick.

Saw the second have. After that US/Slo game yesterday, this game was shite.

 

Tanaka was an exciting player to watch yet again. Moving from his central defensive position up front even during non set pieces was fantastic. They should have used him up front as he was the best player on the pitch at heading the ball.

 

Elia still looks good.

 

Start Elia, Huntelaar and Babel out front. Then you'll see plenty of scoring.

Sorry Ronan, but its the truth. They're playing slow, no action at all.

 

He hasn't even seen the ball! It is like Rooney, that guy hasn't gotten any sort of delivery.

 

Huntelaar had a goalscoring opportunity right after he was subbed on. You can't tell me van Persie wouldn't of put that away.

 

As I wrote last night, Huntelaar should not be played against Japan. He should never be played against far more defensive-minded teams with tall central defenders.
