Another victory tonight, 90-73. A very similar game for Randolph to last night. Dreadful field goal shooting but an amazing night at the line, both in attempts and %. Again. What is it with this guy? 3-11 FG and 14-17 FT. He must be averaging the most freethrow attempts in the entire summer league. Hendrix with 11 boards, however he does not seem to get to the line much (1-2). Anthony Morrow has been putting up big numbers lately, another 27 pts tonight. Over the last 3 games he's averaging 24 ppg on 65% shooting, 5.7 rpg.
Warriors beat the D-League All-Stars by a point today. On a side note, they'll be televising the game tomorrow. It appears we got some skilled and talented players in Anthony Randolph, jeez he can play like a point guard at 6' 10", Brandan Wright, he's like a smooth jazz big who can clean glass, Marco Belinelli, who should be able to shoot lights out and handle the rock (no he's not going to be our point guard though), CJ Watson, who should be able to provide solid backup minutes at PG, and Richard Hendrix who's our muscle guy and player who should get few minutes under any other coach not named Nelson. Anthony Morrow should get a shot at making the roster because the guy has been shooting lights out, has been the leading scorer, and can rebound. Good size as a 6' 5" SG. He could take somebody's job if he continues to play like he has. Rob Kurz is another guy who should be given a shot at making the team. He can rebound and block shots and may be better than Louis Amundson. I haven't seen enough of Demarcus Nelson, but he could get a camp invite. The same for Mykal Riley.
Darn, another injury, Hendrix out of the game early. Good thing he signed the contract first. Warriors getting it handed to them tonight, not looking great overall, typical Warriors letdown in a day game 1-9 3PT FG. Although Morrow is still hitting ridiculous shots and Randolph is still a stud on the freethrow line.
Warriors signed Anthony Morrow: <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>If all of yesterday's news wasn't enough for you, the Warriors have signed Summer League standout Anthony Morrow to a contract. A 6'5" guard from Georgia Tech, Morrow has averaged 18.6 points in six Summer League games with the Warriors (Las Vegas and Utah). Additionally, he has converted 16-of-19 3-pointers for Golden State this summer and 27-of-39 3-pointers overall (.692) if you include his stint in the Orlando Summer League two weeks ago (with the Miami Heat). Morrow and the Warriors are playing their final game of the summer as we speak, and fans can watch the game live online by clicking here . We have tons of wing players as it is, its pretty much a guarantee this guy will get no NBA playing time. I like him as a prospect though, he just graduated from Ga Tech and has a sick shooting stroke. As Voodoo Child pointed out to me he was a good player in college but got kind of screwed and overlooked at times. Averaged 5.7 pp6 as a freshman, shot way up to 16 ppg as a sophomore, then as a junior he got kind of screwed by Thad Young/Javaris Crittenton as his ppg dipped to 9.9, then it went back up to 14.3 last season on great FG and 3 pt %'s. I'd say hes probably a talent worthy of being drafted but went under the radar. My only concerns would be that hes pretty one dimensional at this point and I don't know how good of an athlete he is. He'll have to improve other areas of his game if he wants to make it. Overall nice signing as a guy to stash in the D-League/end of the bench who could turn into a decent player. I'm thinking that Mullin is getting ready for a big trade but that it isn't imminent. Hes collecting a lot of tradeable assets and talent that is attractive to other teams. I'm guessing he'll be in the midst of a lot of trade talks over the next year to try and land a star. BTW Anthony Randolph just got kicked out of the last SL game after getting two technical fouls in the 4th quarter. lmao

He's a low-risk insurance in case Maggette, Sjax, Bellinelli, Buike gets hurt. Wow, we do have a lot of wing players. It'd be nice if the Warriors start thinking about adding some more depth at PF and C, especially with the possibility that Biedrins might bolt for Russia. Man, that Okafor idea AlleyOop had doesn't sound so bad anymore

Man, that Okafor idea AlleyOop had doesn't sound so bad anymore </div> It wasn't my idea -- I was just commenting that I'd do that Harrington/Bellinelli/pick for Okafor trade in a heartbeat Yeah, you're right we do have a lot of wing players. I really like our roster. Morrow has looked great in summer league so maybe this is another Azibuike/Cardinal/Barnes finding? Either way, I'm excited about the drastic remake of our roster. Turiaf, Maggette, Marcus Williams, Randolph. Hendrix, Morrow, plus bringing back Az, Monta, along with Jax, hopefully we sign Beans -- this could be a very interesting TEAM versus the individual vibe of Baron's team last year.
What is our current cap situation right now (rough estimate)? Are we already over the cap? I forget, does Adonal Foyle's salary affect our cap? If not, we should be right around 50 million, no?
Wow so the Warriors have these players on the perimeter: Ellis/Watson/Williams Jackson/Belinelli/Morrow Maggette/Randolph/Azubuike Then I guess the front court is: Harrington/Wright/Hendrix Biedrins (hopefully)/Turiaf/Kosta Looks like the Warriors have a full roster at 15 now. The active roster is 12 or 13 now?(for some reason I wanted to say that the number changed recently...). But the idea that this squad will play more like a team depends on how good the PG is for this team. Maggette and Harrington are not really known for their passing (Harrington I'd say is a blackhole). Biedrins is decent, but he's no Chris Webber or Divac or Brad Miller (at least yet). So I'd say if Monta Ellis can play well as the point of the attack then maybe this will be a better team. Maybe we could put some hope in Williams, but maybe not. But the roster looks much deeper and more productive than it did last season. That may be a significant help.

With this team, he won't have to be the one with the ball in his hands all the time like Baron because Jax, AR, and Watson/Williams can pass and handle the rock. Nellie will be keen to exploit matchups on the offensive end, so don't think Monta will have to play the pass first or creator type of PG.
