We need to play well all game, why do we only play to our potential in the 4th quarter?

Yeah it sucks that Dallas got down alot. Harris not getting much respect from the refs while Marbury being treated like Bryant. The calls made me very bitter.

Knicks 117 Mavs 115 OT Grades: Mavs Are Late to the Garden Party

Isiah?s Knicks showed up on time tonight at Madison Square Gardens. Too bad the Mavs didn?t decide to show up until the second quarter. The Mavs still made a heroic effort to pull ahead from an 18 point deficit, but of course that is all lost in the loss. The shame of it all is that it is inconsistent performances like tonight that will probably make the Mavs kick themselves at the end of the regular season if they are looking up at the Spurs or Grizzlies for first place in the West.

Johnson: C, Avery clearly didn?t have the team ready tonight, but Larry sure did. Avery must have made a swell speech to get the team?s attention at halftime, but tonight it was a case of too little too late. Still Avery has got to be wondering what its going to take for the Mavs to start the game taking the opponent seriously.

Howard: C: Actually other than the poor first period effort, Josh played well on his way to 18 points (9-13 FG, 0-0 FT) and 9 rebounds. +24

Nowitzki: B-, Dirk couldn?t do it all tonight. Too bad it was a waste of a 32 point game (13-26 FG, 2-7 treys, 4-4 FT). +28

Dampier: C, Erick gave way early to Diop in the first quarter with 2 fouls but somehow managed to play the rest of the game without picking up any more. Dampier pitched in 6 points (2-2 FG, 2-5 FT) and 6 rebounds. +8

Griffin: C+; Adrian only threw in 6 points (2-4 FG, 2-2 FT) in 15 minutes but at least he wasn?t turning the ball over. Zero turnovers. +7

Terry: C, Jason backed up Dirk with 20 points (9-19 FG, 2-6 treys) to go with 5 assists. +17

Harris: B; Avery was tough on Devin in the post game, but Harris somehow managed to pitch in 15 points (5-8 FG, 5-6 FT), 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals against Zero turnovers. +23

Stackhouse: C, Jerry got the game winner last night and the Mavs went back to Jerry again tonight. No dice. +11

Diop: C, DeSagana pitched in 3 blocks and 3 boards along with many intimidations tonight. +4

M?Benga: C-, DJ got 4 minutes tonight but his only box as 2 fouls and a missed shot. +1

Armstrong : A, Just the sight of seeing Darrell at the scorer?s table got the Mavs to pick up their energy tonight. +1

Van Horn: C+, Keith joined Dirk to once again form the Mavs twin towers on the floor tonight. Keith pitched in 6 points (3-6 FG, 0-1 trey) to go with 1 rebound, 1 steal, and 1 assist. Zero turnovers. +6

    Powell: DNP-CD.

Daniels: DNP-CD, Marquis is out yet again with neck swelling from the Kurt Thomas clothes line hit.

Marshall : Rawle has been sent to the Fort Worth Flyers (NBDL) to get playing time.

Podkolzin: DNC-CD, Pavel had surgery to repair his right foot and ankle and is expected to miss three months.
